Re: software to protect USB drives, or folders.
well you can use bit locker if you are running w7 ultimate or above or you are using w10 pro or above. This encrypts the whole USB drive and password locks the whole drive.

Re: Wlm and spell checker
Well from my google research it seems to be some kind of bug. There is no real fix for it. you can try various things like you are doing and some time these things work and sometimes they don’t.

Yes that should work. I was being lazy but there are actually a few ways of doing this. You could use one of the disk encryption utilities like DiskCryptor

Gene,
I did specific Google searches on ‘Windows Live Mail spell check not working,’ and most respondents to the proffered solutions, even those that tried the then-active Microsoft Live Help

Re: software to protect USB drives, or folders.
Hi Carlos, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but I wonder if encrypting a folder would work in this case. The container could then be copied to the usb drive.

Hi Marie,
I considered the possibility that the Fn key functionality might have somehow been unintentionally reversed, but the fact that the spell check item on the Ribbon is grayed out makes that

Okay, you two are the experts and I am sure you are correct.
so how in the world did the spell checker become disabled and does anyone have an idea how to get it working? Is it possible as mentioned
