I'm not sure what you mean by register it. You don't need a Microsoft account unless you want to use certain features. You can keep a lot of the privacy Microsoft wants to know about by not getting

I’m not a Dropbox user, but in general, if the desktop client for whatever reason isn't accessible, isn't there always the web interface you can try accessing your files with? Not ideal depending
