Without knowing what you tried, no one knows if they are just sending information duplicating what you did.
If programs like Kurzweil or Openbook or other such programs can't recognize the document,

Also, your view about add-on updates being released that are only compatible with the new version is incorrect. The current version of the add-on updater shows new releases that are not compatible
