If I am remembering right, you do need to have a user name. I know I have one on my Gmail account.
Try her phone number.

Setting up a GMail account to work in Windows Live Mail.
I'm trying to help someone set up a GMail account to work with Windows Live Mail. I know everything about how to do it except for one thing. We are working with the newer version of Windows Live

The spam folder on your computer or the spam folder your provider uses on their web site. This question may not apply if you are using IMAP. If you are using POP it would.

Hi All,
I have had great luck with the disability line. I always ask them to tell me what they are going to do before they do it.

You might want to try again, and look in your spam. I just tried with another e-mail to verify, and it does actually work. I received a welcome message even.
