I have always taken mine to a print shop where they are able to do a clean and neat job of removing the cover and spine.

On top of that he never did answer if his outlook is standalone with a
serial number o or h if he is an office365 subscriber.
I'd still say leave alone for now.

Why not use reset? it saves work and if it doesn't work you can always reinstall from scratch. But why not try this method of having a completely clean copy of Windows first?

I still sayl, as I have from the outset, install Windows 10 from scratch. That means initializing the disk. Of course you'll want to back everything up frirst, which maybe by now is no

I don't know what else you want to do. You can't use Winamp as I recall, but Windows Media Player should serve well.
