I understand how Secure Boot works, but again that is not how the majority of malware is designed. Most malware does not attempt to replace the boot loader. Non-rootkit based malware is easier

not really. I know of people who use xp with 2 gb of ram and a mid 2007 processor. That is comfortable enough to run 10.

Secure boot blocks rootkit drivers from being installed. When malware is installed without the rootkit the malware (trojans, worms, etc) can be removed with considerably less efort

LOL most machines still running XP would not be capable of running Windows 10 smoothly even if they met the basic system requirements. Not much of a tradeoff.
