Re: putting place markers on a very long piece of audio
Those are not Winamp commands. I'm quite sure they are JAWS commands but whatever the case, they are commands specific to one screen-reader.

Updating Jaws SMA Upgrades
Howdy All,
This is for those that are not showing their correct amount of SMA Upgrades available in the Jaws Context Menu / About. This is what I was showing when I pressed, Insert / Jaws key + J,

Re: putting place markers on a very long piece of audio
It is worth noting that is a JAWS feature. It is not a Winamp feature so it will not work if you are not running JAWS.

Re: putting place markers on a very long piece of audio
When you pause it, you can press “M” in winamp to bookmark your place in a file. To get to it, Press “ALT+SHIFT+M” and I think to remove a marker, use “CTRL+SHIFT+M”

Re: NVDA with WLM
I don't know what the problem is. It is not a general problem, as far as I know. The Microsoft disability service may be able to help.
Was there a time when Windows Live Mail worked correctly or

Re: Audio editing software
When the recording is playing, use Control s to open a save as dialog. Save the file in this way. Though you see using the context menu recommended routinely by lots of people whenever this question

Re: Audio editing software
Thanks, Pamela; yes, I did try that and this compugter acts rather goofy. To get "save target" on the menu, I had to put my jaws cursor on the link in the e-mail. Then I pressed the laptop's right

Thanks very much for these, they were rather useful. You said in your tutorial you included a zip file with a screen reader manual as well, would it be possible for you to send me the link to this as

Re: Audio editing software
Rich et al,
When I press enter on the links here, firefox plays the recording. I'd rather download it for later. Anybody can tell me how to make firefox download it instead of playing it?

Audio editing software
Hi All
I am looking for some audio editing software that works with a screenreader on windows 10. If it could be free, that would be a bonus. I only really want to join 2 or 3 bits of audio together

Re: NVDA with WLM
I did try sending a message and Jaws could not read anything and neither could NVDA.
I should have added that I am running Windows 8.1 and the latest versions of both Jaws and NVDA. It has me stumped.
