Strange New Behavior in Winamp 5.63
Steve Matzura
I discovered just tonight that .M3U files no longer play in either of my two Winamp 5.63 installations. They start Winamp, but nothing happens after that. Did this just start with the latest Windows 10 update to 416?

memory I believe that it’s Linux and yes, you could pull out the micro SD card place it within a card reader if necessary and look at it entirely if you so selectively chose. You could also purchase a new internal chip for the Second Generation Victor if desired. There will be hidden partitions within this data though.

how can I tell if a web site is legitimate?
Troy Burnham
Hi all,
I ordered a baseball jersey this afternoon, and my mom was helping me look and when she found it I didn't realize until after I made my order that it's on 115worldseries.com and not on mlb.com which is where I normally order baseball things from. On top of that when I called the telephone number on the site to ask questions I was connected with a realty company, and last but not least the jersey was regular $139.99 but it was on sale for $59.99. Oh and the contact e-mail was a gmail account. All of this started making me suspicious but unfortunately I didn't realize all of this until the order was already made. Fortunately I made the purchase with pay pal so I can get my money back if I either don't receive the product or if it's not what I want when I get it, but is there a way for me to tell in the future if a site is legitimate? I usually make purchases through amazon.com or in this case the official baseball site, but as I said above my mom found this jersey and I didn't stop to think about how suspicious it all sounds until after I made the purchase. Re: A Computer Weirdness that turned out Positive!

Hi Gene,
Oh I usually consider the Pluses and Minuses in just about every situation. However, since this Gold Wave thing just started a couple weeks ago, I just thought it was weird, but this time it was a Good weird. As far as relying on this new Mystery Feature, can't say I am totally counting on Gold Wave shutting down a minute or two after the Lecture has finished, so I am ready to edit out the length of time when Gold Wave was still recording Dead Air. Since this is what I've done now for the past few years. So far, Gold Wave shuts down about a minute or two after the lecture is done. Which for now, is a Good Weirdness. Grumpy Dave

Re: 32 bit and 64 bit question
Smiling?
Not directly but it could be run on 64bit emulator software, so it would be slower.
Any competent installer for any Operating System will be able to tell if you’re trying to install it on incompatible hardware and will prevent you from doing so.
If the installer is daft enough to blindly install regardless, the 64bit Operating System simply will not boot once installed.

Hi, please excuse my ignorance regarding this subject, but is it possible to have a 64 bit operating system installed on a computer with a 32 bit mother/main board? Or, are mainboards just multi-purpose in regards to whether a 32 or 64 bit OS is being used on it?

You can run 32 bit Windows on a 64bit capable
machine. But the opposite isn't true. You can't run 64 bit Windows
on a 32 bit machine.

Re: A Computer Weirdness that turned out Positive!

Maybe, maybe not. If Goldwave has a setting
that automatically stops recording, if it were me, I wouldn't use it.
While this may be rare, what if there is a technical difficulty which causes the
audio to stop and then, resume after a pause long enough to cause Gold Wave to
stop recording. You will have missed the rest. Perhaps you can set
the time so this should never or almost never be a problem, such as to stop
after two or three or five minutes of silence but when something is automated,
the possible consequences need to be considered.

For a long time now, I have used Gold Wave to record and Edit stuff I listen to from the Internet. Sometimes those recordings can go for an hour or more, up to 5 hours at times. I have always had to manually stop the Recording when the Lecture ended, but not any more. No matter how long or short the video, when it ends, Gold Wave stops recording, and then waits for me to do something. There may be a Switch inside Gold Wave that allows this to happen all the time, but up until the last couple of weeks, I've never found such a switch. Some how some way, if there is a Switch, it has gotten flipped, and I have no idea how it happened. But, at least this Weirdness turns out to be a Good one, instead of the kind that cause me to Bang my Head against the Wall. Grumpy Dave

Vacuum Question

I was just wondering if anyone has had experience using either the Hoover
ONEPOWER or the Dyson V11 Torque cordless vacuums from a blindness perspective.
I.E. are the controls
buttons or touch screen as the Dyson mentions a led display? I appreciate
all insights. Thanks in advance.

When I first received my iPhone 7 Plus, a woman helped me set it up with all of the various apps. I asked her which operating system she preferred. She told me that she liked the windows operating system better than the Mac operating system because she thought windows was more flexible. But she also said that she thought the iPad Pro and its operating system was just as good as windows. Go figure! This just shows that every opinion is different. You know what they say about opinions. LOL

And you can’t move everything from internal memory. If you are using CELA for instance, you can’t transfer those books from the internal memory to the sd card.

Mike B <mb69mach1@...>
Hi Kerryn,
If you're running J2018 and up & Windows 10 and your
screen is dark I believe you're referring to the Screen Shade feature.
Below are 2 ways of enabling / disabling.
1. Hold down the, Insert key, and press
the, spacebar, to activate the layerd keystrokes feature, now press the, Print
Screen key, and this will toggle Screen Shade on / off.
2. To check if the Screen Shade feature is on or off, go into
the quick settings menu with, Insert + V, or Capslock + V.
if you are using the laptop layout
In the search field type, shade, and press enter. Next, down arrow one time and JAWS should state
whether Screen Shade is checked or nott.
If it's checked pres the spacebar to uncheck /
disable it, then tab to the, Okay button and press enter to save and close
quick settings.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. Go Rams! Every man should marry. After all, happiness is not the only thing in life.

If you want to save $50, you could go for an iPod touch instead of an iPad. The iPod touch does everything the iPad can do. Only difference is that its screen is a lot smaller. I use my iPod touch for most things these days. But if you are in school and you need a bigger screen for classrooms and such, then I'd say go with the iPad. I really like iOS. I also like my windows machine. But I do not like macBooks and mac computers with all their interacting and stop interacting ways of doing things. But iOS and windows are both nice. And for my smartPhone I just use a xiaomi mi a1 android phone with tracFone. I love the fact that iOS supports so many braille languages, now I can finally learn Japanese braille if I wish.
