In thinking about your question, it raises another interesting question, at least I find it interesting. Are your e-mails saved as doc files? I find it very interesting that Wordpad, in its later versions, won’t open doc files. You may want JARTE anyway but in case you want something very simple and even smaller, I can send you a download link for the old XP Wordpad that can open doc files.

While the person may find it useful to have the information and address provided, the question is framed by a statement that the person is having problems downloading anything in Edge and the question of how you download in Internet Explorer.
If these are the actual problems, they need to be addressed. Internet Explorer isn’t going to be supported indefinitely, I wouldn’t be surprised if support ends in the next year or two.
As to problems downloading using Edge, have you been successful in the past? What is different now? Did these problems begin when the new Edge came out? The way you download files is a little different in Edge compared with other browsers I’ve used but once you know how to work with the differences, downloads are not a problem.

I doubt it can read as quickly with as little distortion as Eloquence. That’s one reason I use Eloquence. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Eloquence pronounces more words correctly without correcting them. Talkback sounds pleasant, from the very little bit I’ve heard, but most symthesizers start to diminish in quality when listening at fast speeds.

JAWS Reverb
Joe Orozco
Hello,
I'm experiencing an issue where JAWS speech is coming across in an annoying reverb fashion when I plug in 3.5 MM ear buds. I've seen this issue before and have been able to turn off sound enhancements in Control Panel; however, I am not seeing that option in my current work computer. I do not experience the issue when I use a USB headset, but as I have to work on two separate computers at once, I use the earbuds under a second headset to keep track of two workflows simultaneously. Everything was working fine this morning, and then Windows updated and made my life miserable. A tad dramatic, I know, but the sound distortion makes it hard to listen to JAWS. Can you suggest any fixes? Thanks in advance, Joe

I just simply, literally despised the keyboard that came with the one I had though. I thought it was clumsy and sluggish. I never gain proficiency on it, like I have, on all thingds, the screen one on my iPhone. It could be that I have worked harder on the iPhone, and had more information about how to use it than I did the one on that tablet. Nevertheless, the RCA Pro is a good buy, if they still have them. Because of my tablet experience, I had no intention of getting a keyboard for my iPhone, and another reason for that was to have to have some kind of peripheral with it. On the tablet, the keyboard was attached, but it could be removed, and you could use just the touch screen, which was a big one, probably almost the size of one of a desk top. -----Original Message----- From: main@TechTalk.groups.io <mailto:main@TechTalk.groups.io> [mailto:main@TechTalk.groups.io] On Behalf Of Gene Sent: Sunday, May 2, 2021 3:12 PM To: main@TechTalk.groups.io <mailto:main@TechTalk.groups.io> Subject: Re: [TechTalk] how to get to computers for the blind? Re: Issues with user accounts and passwords in Windows 10
Thomas N. Chan
There's only a few reason, you did key in the wrong password The keyboard settings is sending the wrong character to it Logically, from the information you given, itshould work if you did input the right password. Unless something is sending or keying the wrong info for you. If you did reset the password, and the window did accepted it. Then it should work unless that user does not have administrative rights to do all you mentioned. Regards, Thomas N. Chan
Hello, I have tried resetting the password for one of the accounts and it doesn’t work. I forgot to mention something else in my original message to the list. Installing software is also an issue, I’m unable to install programs.
