Re: Speaker Inside of Win10 Computer

Hi Allen,

I don't find anything about a speaker in the system tray, but only accessing the soundcard properties & Volume Mixer.  None of these options deal with the physical speaker located inside the computer that I can tell.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go Rams!

Did you try Windows+B? I have a Dell at work that has a built-in
speaker. I found the controls with Windows+b or if you are using JAWS
with Insert+F11.

Thanks for the advice, I hadn't considered that. I've always used nonpowered USB hubs but they were smaller than what I'm looking for now since I have more USB devices than I used to have.

I think you may be asking a bit much here.
You are expecting to draw enough power through the laptop to run or charge 6 or 8 devices.
There is a reason why usb hubs have a c adapters.
I think this is one.

Hi all,

I want to buy a USB hub with either 6 or 8 ports, but I want one that I can just plug into the USB port on my laptop and it'll work without needing to be charged. I've just been looking on amazon and I can't tell which one or ones I should be looking at though, is there anything in the description I should be looking for that'll tell me if it'll need to be charged every so often or not?

I strongly recommend that you purchase a powered hub. I haven't looked in years but I purchased a powered USB 3 hub with 8 connections from Amazon around 4 years ago for $60.00. Two of the USB connections support charging an IPad.

Hello:

If you are new to the iPhone and voiceover, there are many great tutorials on the Internet. Go to YouTube and search for something called the Hadley institute. They have posted many excellent voiceover tutorials. I learned a lot from those videos. Or you could Google iOS tutorials for the blind or something like that. There are many resources out there.

Hi Gene,

Yes, it's in Tools / Folder Options.  I had changed this to the appropriate setting several times, and apparently it didn't stick, but it seems to be holding now.

It sounds like folder options are set to open in a new Window.

Check the following:
1. Open the Start Menu
2. Search for “Folder Options”
3. Open File Explorer Folder Options

The first set of radio buttons configured how folders are opened.

Focus on this set of radio buttons and make sure “Open each folder in the same Window” is selected.

i don't know exactly where it is. but
open  this pc, to your c drive and open the tools  tab control i think and find
folder options.
and make sure it is set to
browse folders, open each folder in the same window.
then the alt left arrow keys will work.

Type folder in the search edit field,

you will hear;

File explorer options,

press enter,

make sure,

open each folder in the same window is checked,

1 of 2.

tab ok enter.
