I love Carlos's Winpe images! but how would you use Image for Windows with the WinPE environment? I've only had experience using it by burning backups to disk since there was no talking pre-install in

Re: Urgent help needed: failing hard drive
I don't know how the performance of computers from Computers for the Blind compares with your current machine nor do I know what the cost of a new hard drive is. So I'm not recommending anything.

Okay, if you're already running Windows 7, then disregard my previous message about upgrading from XP to 7.

Gene, I was hasty in writing my reply so I’m going to give some thought to what you have stated in your message.

I would recommend against doing more than considering your opinion as tentative at this time. While it may not be a good idea to buy a refurbished computer from an unknown source, I've heard good

Re: Urgent help needed: failing hard drive
Not to be argumentative but I probably wouldn't buy a refurbished pc. You never know how long it will last and if I did buy a new machine, Dell lets you pay in installments.
