Re: requesting information about accessible TV's

Steve Matzura

The Toshiba Fire TV, which you can get from Amazon or BestBuy, is a fine choice. As for podcasts, I think you'll get a lot out of http://mainmenu.acbradio.org/podcast/2018-08-03.mp3, and when you listen, you'll know why (LOL).

Hello,

What search terms should I enter into google or some other browser to find out the names of companies that host podcasts?

Patreon is one of them, Definitely Human is another.

Besides those two, what should I search for for companies that host or create podcasts

In particular, audio dramas, comedy dramas, etc.

Thanks

Keith

There is no magic about using Google.  Search for what you are looking for.  Companies that host podcasts music and dramas

If that doesn't work well, experiment try music dramas without the and, though I don't think that will matter.  If you want reviews, try something like what you are looking for and write review at the end.

There are all sorts of ways to customize searches but Google is a consumer product.  Most people know nothing about this and Google is designed to be used by such people.

I am looking for podcasts to listen to.

I have the q-cast program and a VR stream, but the stream  only shows up to 200 results, and I know I should be more specific   in the search criteria, but sometimes the podcasts that are the most interesteing are not in  a specific word search.

Thanks

Re: how do pay pal disputes work?

Penny Golden

My sister put in the info for me; so much easier; and I was surprised; they settled in my favor.
They have some strange rules; they would not let us start the proceedings till, either 22 or 30 days went by; i forget which.
I was exceedingly glad to get my funds back.  It wasn't the amount, $50, but it was the fact that I was sold something that the seller had no intention of sending.

One of the reasons I'm asking is because the e-mail says that they may need more information from me during the review and that I'll need to respond in the alotted time or the claim will be settled in the sellers favor.  I check my e-mail several times a day so it's not likely that I'd be late responding with any information they might ask for, but I'd still like to know what to expect if anybody else has gone through this since this is my first time and the e-mail isn't very descriptive as far as what to expect.  I even looked in the legal section of the web site as was suggested and didn't find out anything there either.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi:

Yes you can.  Just make sure you have your mail app open while you’re talking on the phone.  You can use the app switcher to go to your mail app, double tap on the mail app and compose an email as normal.  You’ll have to use your on-screen keyboard or a bluetooth keyboard to do this as Siri and Dictation won’t work while talking on the phone.

You wait and see if you're going to get a refund. You also provide any evidence and/or extra information, if they ask.

Voiceover not he Mac!

Kerryann Ifill

Hi all,

I usually use the premium Australian male voice on the Mac as my default voice. Since the upgrade earlier this week, the voice keeps changing to an awful sounding UK compact voice. I’ve had to adjust it 3 times thus far. The added annoyance is that I have to make changes to about 6 or more areas. Any ideas on how to make the changes stick?

Thanks
Kerry

Re: i phone question

I do this all of the time. I mean Use my phone not to just check my email… you can tilt the phone horizontal so it goes on speaker and still use your phone… The other person will not hear that. Or you can plug-in your ear buds and use it that way.

Oh yes, I missed this part of the answer in my reply.  Basically, the phone works as usual while on a call, but I've found wearing a headset helps.

I have an iPhone SE and I do this all of the time. Well, not Email, but I've surfed the web and caught up on news.

If you use a headset, Bluetooth or wired, you can adjust the Volume of VO so you can hear VO and the phone call.

I can do this using either my WiFi or my Verizon LTE connection.
