Hi Chris,

What I want to try is using the scanner with Windows Fax & Scan to see if the scanner acts the same way.  I've never run into a situation where the scanner won't stop scanning until you force it to stop.

Re: windows 10 and file sizes

I can't answer most of your question, but definitely if you're going to run checkdisk (chkdsk), do it while running CMD with privilege. To do this, tap the Windows Key and type cmd, but before you pres ENTER, tap the Application key and select "Run as asministrator" from the menu.

drive, that is the same, I only have one copy that is the proper size, I
googled it and it says to go to run cmd and chkdsk /f, when I do this it
tells me I don't have enough authorisation to perform this task. I phoned
Microsoft support and they told me it was a onedrive sink issue, I checked
out of onedrive and signed back in as was instructed. On google it says
there was an issue in windows 10 and windows 8 with file sizes being wrong.
What can I do about this please? A lot of the files are important, this is

One question I have about the google is when you tell it you like this

song or that song, what exactly does it do with it? Does it remember it

to play other simular songs or does it put it into a playlist that you

can just play later? Can you just say, "Google, play the songs I like?"

Also, I keep setting my google mini I thought to google music, but it

keeps telling me I need to subscirbe to google music to play this or

that. What do I need to do to have that stop? Thanks.

Re: The Alexa App and Blue Tooth

Steve Matzura

You're supposed to have Bluetooth turned on before opening the application. If you don't, the application will tell you to do so, and I think it even gives you something on which to tap which will open your phone's settings application. Bluetooth is how phones and tablets communicate with Amazon devices.

Subject: [TechTalk] a few google mini questions

Hi

We have 2 google minis also. I am not sure how you would get them to

talk to one another, but that sounds rather good. I have mixed

feelings on the google ane alexas. Google seems to have lots more

information I think. I am not sure about its game choices, but Alexa

sure has a lot to offer in that.

Thanks.

You need to have the drivers installed for the scanner before you will get it to work along with the Epson scanner program

Hi Chris,

This particular model doesn't have a camera lock, and yes that's the first thing I thought of but, it's the same model as mine so I know for sure it doesn't have a lock.

Hi Mike. Just a thought, but does the scanner have a lock, many do, and has your friend checked to make sure it’s not on?

Hi George,

The Epson Perfection WIA is what's selected in device selection.  There are 2 choices the fore mentioned and Epson Perfection.

Hi All,

A friend is running Windows 7 Home 32 bit, Jaws 13, Openbook 9 and an Epson Perfection V39 flatbed scanner.  When he gives the command to scan a document the scanner starts, but it won't stop and keeps making a ding sound every few seconds while scanning!  You have to press the spacebar to interrupt / stop the scan or it'll never stop.  Also, it never acquires any text for Openbook to read.  I don't have much experience with diagnosing scanners especially through a tandem session, so I don't have a clue as to why this behavior is happening.  If anyone knows why this is happening, would you please enlighten me?  All help will be greatly appreciated and graciously accepted.  Thank y'all very much.
