This was the case for me several Thunderbird updates back where the Quick Folder Key Navigation addon seemed to function properly ... until it didn't. What I'm trying to say is that it may be working consistently for a short or maybe a long time but another update could cause it to function intermittently, which happened with me. The addon now works consistently for me but I have a feeling this business where it mysteriously stops working may still be an issue. NuWave Bravo oven
Kay Malmquist
Hi all,
Does anyone have the NuWave Bravo oven and can you
operate it? I see it has what looks to be a numpad and above that is a
dial that you must have to select what you want and then press the middle of
that button. Any thoughts on it from people that have used it?
Thanks in advance.

dang the darn dropbox
Monte Single
Hi List,
Today I pasted two files into my dropbox folder. That is, I copied the folders using the keyboard. Then I went the dropbox folder in the users folder on my c drive. I pasted the folders into the dropbox folder. A while later, I went to the dropbox forlder and tried to copy a folder link using the context menu. The “copy link location” was not available in the context menu. Yes, I made sure the file was selected before trying to copy the link location. I cannot copy the link location for any files in the dropox folder. Suggestions appreciated. The only change I am aware of on this win 10 pc is that it updated to win 10 20.4 a few days ago.
Thanks,
Monte

Re: what is the differenc between thunder bird and other mail programs like outlook express?
Gene
When you use what is called the installer but it really doesn't install anything, it places the program in a folder. The folder is called thunderbird or maybe Thunderbird Test, for some reason. Copy that folder anywhere you want and you will have copied the entire program.

I think you can do in 16 same as 13:

1. Go to Outlook (2016 in your case). 2. Control+Shift+E 3. Name Folder. 4. Enter. VOILA, there you are with a brand new folder.

Re: MS Outlook 2007
Brian Vogel <britechguy@...>
Since Office 2007 has been out of support for a very long time now what follows is based on "misty memories" of using Outlook 2007.
It handled multiple accounts just like most e-mail clients do. There is a tree view for the accounts defined and the folders that are a part of those accounts, accessed much like any other tree view is. There will be a separate inbox per account, by default. I do not think that 2007 supported an integrated inbox where all incoming messages from multiple accounts are presented in one place. You have to visit the respective inboxes for each individual account to look at the messages for that account. I would ditch Outlook 2007 for something supported. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 2004, Build 19041 Always remember that computers are just glorified light bulbs - they rarely fail in continuous use and usually go pop when turned off and on. ~ Technician with the username Computer Bloke, on Technibble.com

The following explains why the calendar doesn't do anything in Thunderbird when you are first in it and I discuss how what you observe or learn in this part of Thunderbird may help you when using other unfamiliar programs.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
I found out why pressing various buttons in the calendar doesn't do anything. the program is running but there are no active calendars. If you tab around all the items, and there are a lot, you will get to a field that says something like that there is no enabled calendar and says something about creating one. This sort of information may or may not help people understand what is going on in other programs but I'm discussing it because it may. I don't know how many but some programs use tabs these days whereas a long time ago, I'm not sure if any did. So if you are stuck try the command control tab to move to another part of a program. In such a case, control tab may move you between tabs even if the actual tool bar that does so is inaccessible. Also, as demonstrated by what I found about the calendar in Thunderbird, you may find a reason why a program isn't doing anything if you tab through all the fields in a program where they are fields to tab through in the main window. Gene

From: Gene Sent: Thursday, November 05, 2020 9:26 AM To: main@TechTalk.groups.io Subject: Re: [TechTalk] outlook express adapted for windows 10 I just found out an important thing when you see the calendar. I don't know if it is true in older versions of the program but in the 78.x versions, f6 won't move you out of the calendar if you are in it. The only way I know to switch to the mail view is to use control tab. Once you do that, you will remain in the mail view even if you close and reopen the program. If you have the problem of seeing the buttons, control tab should solve it. F6 does move you most efficiently to the folders list when you open the program. There are one or two fields you skip if you use f6. So change the view, and use f6 when you open the program. The program is evidently already fully installed and running at that time. There is a calendar in the program and it sounds as though those are the buttons you see. Try the following: Run the program, then press f6. F6 moves you to different parts of the screen. It skips all the things you don't want to work with and moves you to the folders list. You can either tab once to get to the message list or press f6 again to get there. The same is true of Outlook Express. The problem with both WLM and Outlook Express is that feature updates to Windows 10, which are now released every six months, may delete them and all their associated files, requiring them to be reinstalled each time. Also, there is no guarantee that a future update to Windows 10 won't break WLM or OE and cause them to stop working altogether.
