Anything will do but I'm saying that if there is a space, you can copy both the space and the page break to the clipboard. Then after you paste the space and page break to the pattern field, remove gthe space.

I'm not sure how it might be done other than the method I'll present here.

This is a symbol and for some reason, I find that I can't add it to the

default speech dictionary or the voice dictionary and have it honored. I

have to place it in the temporary dicgtionary. Perhaps others will have

other experiences.

First, you have to get the symbol in a syntax that it can be pasted to the

temporary dictionary. I've tried just selecting it and copying it to the

clipboard. It doesn't work. You have to select something right next to it,

such as a space and select the symbol and copy both to the clipboard.

Then, when you paste what you copied into the pattern field, remove the

additional carachter after pasting.

Then tab once to the pronounced as field and type a space. Tab to and

activate the ok button, then tab to and activate the next ok button. You

have solved the problem for this session of NVDA.

I wish I knew a permanent solution but at least when I've tried this, I have

to go through this procedure every time I run NVDA that I want the symbol

not to be spoken. You may be able to remove the page breaks using search

and replace but I haven't played with that to any extent.

Subject: [TechTalk] Definitive Analysis Of SiriusXM and the NFL App For listening to Live NFL Radio Play-By-Play

Hi Group,

This is a long post. If you aren't interested in NFL play-by-play
broadcast, you might stop reading now.

On this and a few other lists, I initiated a discussion about how to
best receive NFL radio play-by-play broadcasts of the games now that
Tune In Premium had dropped the NFL and MLB broadcasts. As far as MLB,
there is an iPhone app as well as a website interface. Both are very
accessible and the $20 US yearly for the service for both the app and
the website is very affordable.

As concerns the NFL play-by-play, the two choices are SiriusXM and the
NFL site and app.

I had gotten several conflicting bits of information concerning the
availability of NFL play-by-play for the SiriusXM service. Here is the
definitive answer. You _MUST_ have a radio to receive NFL, NBA and MLB
play-by-play broadcasts. I know this because yesterday, I signed up for
the service and found out that the NFL game last night and the NFL
listing for play-by-play did not exist on the online streaming service.
When I signed up, I specifically asked if these play-by-play services
were available. I was told by SiriusXM tech support that they were.
When I found out last night that they were not, I called up this morning
for a clarification and was definitively told that the services for NFL,
NBA and MLB play-by-play were available only to those who owned radios.
So that settles that issue once and for all. When I told SiriusXM
support of the bad information I got yesterday, they were quite good
about it and refunded my first month fees and cancelled my account.

Now for the NFL app. Let me say first off that the app is clumsy. There
are a bunch of buttons that show up as unpronounceable for VoiceOver on
the iPhone app. Experimentation has shown that the most important
unlabeled button is the second from the top on the main screen and the
Game Pass screen. This button is the settings button. VoiceOver has an
ability to label unlabeled buttons, but that's one feature I haven't
mastered at this time. There are a bunch of other unlabeled buttons
that I haven't figured out yet.

However, the biggest issue with this app is not so much some of those
buttons, but it is the way NFL handles the games. I experimented with
this app for two days before the Thursday night game and they had only
the remnant of the Super Bowl archives from last February listed under
the Game Pass main screen. There is a year/week/day picker in the app
which takes a bit of getting used to. When you first open it by double
tapping on it, about fifty percent of the time, you get bounced to the
status bar and have to navigate back to the picker. But what bothered
me most was that the screen for current games stay locked in last
February until 8:20 PM last night. At precisely that time, the app
switched to the year 2020 and the current year appeared in the
year/week/day picker and then and only then could you access the feed
for both Houston and Kansas City. Once these feeds are available, you
could double tap on the appropriate feed for home and away. The team
names are clearly labeled so that is no problem.

What did happen is that for about the first five minutes, the games
would not play and the TV feed which is not supposed to be available
until immediately after the game has been completed actually played.
Then it disappeared and the radio feeds became available. I assume this
was a glitch on the part of the NFL itself and nothing to do
specifically with the app. Maybe they'll do a better job on
Sunday--having had these issues for the opening game.

As far as the website, each of these year/week/day time pickers is
represented by a Tab. You press enter on the appropriate tab and then a
drop down menu appears so you can highlight it and press enter again to
expose the game/s for that day.

All in all, as clumsy as it is, it is usable and is you don't want to
buy a radio, it is the only alternative for now--other than hunting down
team network affiliates that may stream the games. Indeed there are a
bunch of them that have done that in the past. The site Free Football
Radio<http://www.freefootballradio.com> lists the affiliates of all 32
NFL teams and while they don't regularly update this list, many of the
entries are valid enough. You can also go the the individual team
website where the current list of affiliates is usually listed.

So there you have it: the major alternatives to the now defunct Tune In
Premium NFL play-by-play broadcasts. The NFL site and app is a bit
pricey at $100 yearly, but I suppose if you have sighted associates or
family members, it might be worth it after all.

Re: Dropbox and pCloud

Gene

The easiest way to move to the system tray is with the command Windows key b. You can shift tab to it from the desktop as well.

After you issue Windows key b, you can move from item to item with the left and right arrows and you can use first letter navigation.
The keyboard commands for clicking are as follows:
Left double click is enter.
Left single clicck is space bar.
Right click is the context menu key.
In the case of Dropbox, you may be able to use either single left click or double left click. Experimentation will tell you.

You can usually use either the system tray f11 dialog, or you can use the regular system tray, but there are times when one works and the other doesn't.

Hello,

Does anyone know if there are JAWS scripts for Dropbox? The website
accessibility has grown increasingly bad, and even the desktop app seems
to
have gotten worse in terms of simple things like checking free space and
adjusting sync settings.

Also, does anyone have experience with pCloud? I'm testing out the app
now
before deciding whether or not to buy into their lifetime plan.
Some of the features are not accessible, like adding passwords and
expiration dates to shared links, but this could be a matter of finding
the
right workaround. I would be curious to hear other people's impressions
of
the cloud storage service.

Thank you kindly in advance,

Joe

Re: Turn off Speech in jFW

Hi,

Here's how to put JAWS into sleep mode for a specific application or program, but I want to warn that you need to be very careful with this, because it can be difficult to undo
this if you make a mistake. This is the type of sleep mode in which JAWS will never speak once a program is loaded.

1. Open the program or application for which you want JAWS to be silent during its operation.

2. Press JAWS key plus the number six on the numbers row (not the NumPad).

3. In the search box which comes up, type the word sleep.

4. You will get two results, one applying to braille sleep, the other applies to sleep for JAWS, and it will say it is disabled.

5. Press the Space Bar until it says Enabled.

6. TAB to OK and press ENTER.

Now, whenever you start the program for which you never want JAWS to speak, JAWS will always be silent.

Hi, also if there is a particular program you don't want jaws to talk in you
can turn speech off for just that program. I have a game I play that has its
own speech so I don't need jaws. Whenever I go into that game I have Jaws
set to not talk but since it is still running if I need to quickly go to
another program on my computer I don't have to start Jaws again. When in the
game as soon as I press alt tab or go to the desktop jaws starts speaking
again but as soon as I alt tab back to my game Jaws goes quiet again.

So if you know you won't need Jaws speaking all the time in one program you
can save time by using this setting. At the moment I'm not totally sure
where the setting is and I am having trouble concentrating because I am
falling to sleep. If people are interested I can dig up my notes in the

Moving folders in Thunderbird 78?

Damien Garwood

Hi there,
Is there a way to move folders in Thunderbird? I'm sure there used to be an easy-to-find option to do that in the 60.x (maybe even the 68.x) releases, but I can't seem to find it in 78.
I feel like I'm missing something blatantly obvious here, but I have looked in the context menu of the folder tree, as well as the file, edit and tools menus. I have also tried folder properties and, in a moment of madness, even the rename dialog (given that renaming files is synonymous with moving them on a file system).
Any help appreciated.
Cheers.
Damien.

I did the same thing, and most of the feeds do indeed work. Occasionally, they do not. I wonder what this year will be like, considering some of the radio stations now are carrying baseball games on their regular feeds. Stations like WTAM for the Indians, and KLAB for the Dodgers. I don't know if it is every game, but they have been on from time to time.

I assume this was a glitch on the part of the NFL itself and nothing to do specifically with the app. Maybe they'll do a better job on Sunday--having had these issues for the opening game.

As far as the website, each of these year/week/day time pickers is represented by a Tab. You press enter on the appropriate tab and then a drop down menu appears so you can highlight it and press enter again to expose the game/s for that day.

All in all, as clumsy as it is, it is usable and is you don't want to buy a radio, it is the only alternative for now--other than hunting down team network affiliates that may stream the games. Indeed there are a bunch of them that have done that in the past. The site Free Football Radio<http://www.freefootballradio.com> lists the affiliates of all 32 NFL teams and while they don't regularly update this list, many of the entries are valid enough. You can also go the the individual team website where the current list of affiliates is usually listed.

So there you have it: the major alternatives to the now defunct Tune In Premium NFL play-by-play broadcasts. The NFL site and app is a bit pricey at $100 yearly, but I suppose if you have sighted associates or family members, it might be worth it after all.

Subject: [TechTalk] Definitive Analysis Of SiriusXM and the NFL App For listening to Live NFL Radio Play-By-Play

Hi Group,

This is a long post. If you aren't interested in NFL play-by-play broadcast, you might stop reading now.

On this and a few other lists, I initiated a discussion about how to best receive NFL radio play-by-play broadcasts of the games now that Tune In Premium had dropped the NFL and MLB broadcasts. As far as MLB, there is an iPhone app as well as a website interface. Both are very accessible and the $20 US yearly for the service for both the app and the website is very affordable.

As concerns the NFL play-by-play, the two choices are SiriusXM and the NFL site and app.

I had gotten several conflicting bits of information concerning the availability of NFL play-by-play for the SiriusXM service. Here is the definitive answer. You _MUST_ have a radio to receive NFL, NBA and MLB play-by-play broadcasts. I know this because yesterday, I signed up for the service and found out that the NFL game last night and the NFL listing for play-by-play did not exist on the online streaming service. When I signed up, I specifically asked if these play-by-play services were available. I was told by SiriusXM tech support that they were. When I found out last night that they were not, I called up this morning for a clarification and was definitively told that the services for NFL, NBA and MLB play-by-play were available only to those who owned radios. So that settles that issue once and for all. When I told SiriusXM support of the bad information I got yesterday, they were quite good about it and refunded my first month fees and cancelled my account.

Now for the NFL app. Let me say first off that the app is clumsy. There are a bunch of buttons that show up as unpronounceable for VoiceOver on the iPhone app. Experimentation has shown that the most important unlabeled button is the second from the top on the main screen and the Game Pass screen. This button is the settings button. VoiceOver has an ability to label unlabeled buttons, but that's one feature I haven't mastered at this time. There are a bunch of other unlabeled buttons that I haven't figured out yet.

However, the biggest issue with this app is not so much some of those buttons, but it is the way NFL handles the games. I experimented with this app for two days before the Thursday night game and they had only the remnant of the Super Bowl archives from last February listed under the Game Pass main screen. There is a year/week/day picker in the app which takes a bit of getting used to. When you first open it by double tapping on it, about fifty percent of the time, you get bounced to the status bar and have to navigate back to the picker. But what bothered me most was that the screen for current games stay locked in last February until 8:20 PM last night. At precisely that time, the app switched to the year 2020 and the current year appeared in the year/week/day picker and then and only then could you access the feed for both Houston and Kansas City. Once these feeds are available, you could double tap on the appropriate feed for home and away. The team names are clearly labeled so that is no problem.

What did happen is that for about the first five minutes, the games would not play and the TV feed which is not supposed to be available until immediately after the game has been completed actually played.
Then it disappeared and the radio feeds became available. I assume this was a glitch on the part of the NFL itself and nothing to do specifically with the app. Maybe they'll do a better job on Sunday--having had these issues for the opening game.

Thank you kindly in advance,

How do you turn on autocontributions in the Brave browser

Gene

I've looked through all the settings I can find in Brave and I find nothing that can turn on autocontributions, which is currently set at off. Using the simulated mouse to click off to see if more options are presented does nothing. Activating the settings button for brave contributions shows all sorts of settings I can change but there isn't a turn on setting. I've looked at instrucgtions found in a Google search and found them useless. Does anyone know how this is done?
