I tried tabbing, and no go there. The control shift N command did work though. Still, I'm curious why my usual method has quit working. Strange.

there is a shortcut to create a new folder that may work. Be in the place where you want to create the new folder, as usual. Use the command control shift n. If the command works properly, the new folder dialog should come up. You can also try opening the context menu instead of the ribbons. It may be that context menu items will be shown. To create a new folder, don't have anything selected and be in the location where you want to create the folder. Open the context menu and the short cut command is w for new folder. Gene

Admin. avoiding list clutter
Gene
A list member today sent a message asking if people use a service but not asking what they want to know about the service. A question such as this one is likely to produce many unnecessary messages, in other words, list clutter.
First, many people may answer saying they use the thing asked about, and ask what the question is. Since usually people do use what is being asked about, the original poster then sends his/her question(s) and then another round of answers is given. Will people who ask if people use a service or product please include their question(s) regarding what they want to know in the same message? Gene, owner

Stream Genie
Lighthouse <bernice.j.bird@...>
Good evening,
This is my first email to this group. I am one of those weird people that wants to turn on my TV and turn it to a station and watch a program. I don’t mind searching for a specific movie on Net Flix, or searching you tube for something, but when I watch TV, I don’t want to have to go searching forever for current live TV.
I have bought 3 digital antennas, and none of them get very many stations. I bought a roof antenna just to find it is extremely difficult to mount it on my house. The wire would have to go three quarters of the way around my house.
I am looking for information about the Stream Genie. I would appreciate hearing about individual’s experiences with it, or any reliable information that can be provided.
I feel extremely strongly about the negative business practices of our local cable company, and don’t want to support a business that charges their long term customers more and more money. Call me strange, but I thought a good practice would be rewarding long term loyal customers, not penalizing them.
Thanks for any info about this system.

I'm not doing this to be nasty, but am starting to do it on principle. Tutorials, step-by-step tutorials, in the hundreds to thousands for a common task like this can be found with a simple web search.

Re: How to separate my old iPhone from the new one?
Brian Vogel <britechguy@...>
Sharon,
The easiest thing to do would be resetting your old iPhone to it's original "out of the box" state and letting her set up what she needs to herself. I am unclear by what you mean by "still linked with my text messages" if you've transferred your SIM card to your new device. Re-establishing your own Whatsapp account on the device should you need to later is not difficult, and you'd probably want to reset the phone again before you'd start using it again anyway (if that ever were to happen) as you'd want to be rid of all traces of her on it. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 2004, Build 19041 Always remember that computers are just glorified light bulbs - they rarely fail in continuous use and usually go pop when turned off and on. ~ Technician with the username Computer Bloke, on Technibble.com

How to separate my old iPhone from the new one?
Sharon Hooley
Hi,
I'm letting a friend borrow my old iPhone 5s mainly for Whatsapp. But it's still linked with my text messages, which come to me as failed to send. Is there a way to separate my Whatsapp account from hers without my deleting mine? Would it be necessary to delete my iCloud account on that phone? If so, is there a way to do this without makeing the change with my new one? Thanks, Is it hard to communicate, even with hearing aids? Visit www.CochlearAmericas.com

Word Press Accessibility Day October 2
Norma A. Boge
Hi everyone,
Although targeted to website developers, this event offers a rare insight into how developers approach accessibility and the tools they use. There are sessions regarding screen readers, and a visually impaired screen reader user and web developer will be speaking. From the point of view of most of us, these sessions might give us tips on how we can better communicate our needs to not only those who develop for WP but for any site. This event is free and open to everyone, no registration required, just drop in as you like.
Here’s the link to the full schedule: https://wpaccessibilityday.org/

Re: Help creating .pls files from radio station URL
Steven Johnson
Hello Gene. By live or direct stream URL, I may be showing my ignorance, but I meant an URL that can be copied and pasted into the address bar of a browser and start a station's stream immediately, like the stream URL for WGN, Chicago, which is https://v7player.wostreaming.net/3614

Thanks for the Billsparks.net link. I believe that it has a lot of cool stations for me to try.

Re: Help creating .pls files from radio station URL

Hi Laz. I believe you hit the nail on the head regarding radio stations that have embedded players on their websites preventing my live stream URLs from working from a .pls file when I try to access them from a Blaze ET. I will probably listen to stations with a web player using VLC, which does seem to work with most stations that I would like to hear. It's kind of a shame though. Ootunes is such a wonderful service. Too bad that it is only on the Victor, IOS or BrailleNote. Thanks for thehelp.

I find it much easier to use a media player that can handle internet radio streams like VLC and if it plays there one has a better chance at success when creeating working PLS or M3U files using the audio player. I used to use WinAmp to do this until I started having issues using WinAmp when I moved to Windows 10 a while back. I haven't looked into Groove, WMP, or any other media player but they may be able to create workingplaylist files just as easily.
