In order to block function keys acting as special keys, please press key combination of function key+Escape. You can reenable them using the same combination. you don't need to go to bbiosto disable these keys.

Do let me know if it worked for you.

Thank you,

Mike:

This has been going on for at least 8 months or more.  When I connected my phone to my mom's car, whenever I would get in the car, my phone stops talking to me.  Voice over is gone and I can't do anything.  I can't text or anything because it connects to blue tooth automatically.  If I want to use my phone when I'm in her car, I have to disconnect from blue tooth before I get into the car.  It's very strange.  The only reason I have mine connected to her car is so I can have my music when I'm in there.

Hi Pablo,

No, I do not know any blind or low vision person who has made these cables.

These cables are so cheap these days, now that wireless is here in such a big way,  that I’m sure you could buy them  already made up for pennies a foot.

Evenanold dinosaur like my self,  has sent many meters of these to the recycle center.

You could probably find some at a recycle center.

Hello all,

I am wondering if, anyone here being totally blind has been able to install a RJ 45 adapters on a ethernet cable

I think that it might be very difficult. I guess that a tester could be needed to identify the cable colors. Nevertheless, I think that the worse part is placing the little cables on the adapter in the correct order without putting anyone on the wrong place.

Has anyone able to work on this?

Would you like to share your experience?

try key combo of: windows plus escape, pretty sure lol... Some machines this will have to be done each time you restart, sometimes not. Of course, may not do anything on your machine either.

Quick setting for Outlook with NVDA?

Is there a way to do setting for individual apps like with Jaws?

I want NVDA to automatically read the next message after deleting one. Right now, it opens the message but I have to prompt it to begin reading.

Thanks, Marie

What happens now is that VoiceOver will not speak on the home screen or in any apps. When I tell Siri to turn VoiceOver on, Siri says:

It sounds a little similar to problems that occur sometimes when connecting and disconnecting USB sound cards using a computer. I've had some odd problems of the transition not working as it should have and I've had to play around.

I use

m.facebook.com

very accessible as long as you don't try to delete lists (selected groups of your friends you wish to post things on your wall to).  I have found that making these lists is easy, but removing them or deleting them is impossible as there is no "remove or delete list" button or link.

Hello everyone

I believe there is an address which works better with screen readers but
I've lost the address.

Sorry if this is a bit vague

Mike.

Can anyone tell me if there is a more accessible facebook page.

Odd Issue With VoiceOver On iPhone SE 2020

Ron Canazzi

Hi Group,

I am not sure just how this happened, but it began after I listened to a TV stream through a Blue Tooth Speaker and after I turned the speaker off while it was connected to the iPhone.

What happens now is that VoiceOver will not speak on the home screen or in any apps. When I tell Siri to turn VoiceOver on, Siri says: 'VoiceOver is already on.'  At that point using standard navigation gesture, VoiceOver works on the Siri listen screen and if I move to the status bar, it reads the status bar items with  standard navigation gestures.  But if I then try to press the home key which usually takes me to the first page of apps or back to wherever I was before invoking Siri, speech stops completely.

I never heard anything like this before. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how is it rectified?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Moving ads out of the way in Firefox

Just use uBlock origin. It will get rid of all ads.

Good day everyone.  I’m posting here trying to find a way to move an annoying ad out of the way on one of my favorite auction sites.  When I locate an item that I would like more info about, I hit enter on the item’s link and I am presented with several tabs including an info tab which is the one I would like.  I hit spacebar on that tab, and in the place of the text that I would like to read, a random ad occurs in its place.  Anyone know of a nifty trick to scoot the intrusive ad out of the way and read the info about my auction item?  I use JAWS 2019 with Firefox.  Thanks in advance for any tips.
