This article is vague.  Is Real SAM a specialized smart phone for the blind that is ready to use right out of the box?  Does it have a tactile keypad?  Or is it an app that must be installed on a standard Samsung touchpad smart phone?  And where do you buy it?  There is no information about purchasing Real SAM in this article.

Needing help with Informatix

Cristina Ebetiuc

Hello!
I am interested into informaix and I try many things myself but I mostly shoot my system away. Do you know any good course or is somebody from you willing to spend some time not much 1 2 hours per week or from time to time with me and show me this and that? Imostly follow inernet tutorials but..... Yeah the result is that either it does‘nt work or The windows breaks down. The thing is I would ike a cheap option or a free option. But if it is not possible, then no problem....
Kind regards
PS: If the courses or the possible teacher could speak German it would be very fine. But if not it is ok. English is good, oo. :)

Re: Noise cancellation software

Evidently, you want something that will reduce unwanted sound when using your microphone. Did you look at what may already be available on your computer? The following article discusses various ways of reducing noise. One free option is discussed that you have to pay a certain amount per month for if you use it more than a certain amount of time a week, but the amount of free usage may be more than enough for you if it will work on your computer. It appears to require a certain brand of video card, but I don't know why.

Thanks, I was pretty sure about the sound, but am surprised at how good the sound is on a Mini.

JAWS and Thunderbird

Abbie Taylor

A couple  of years ago when I subscribed to Office 365, I tried using Outlook because at the time, I was using NVDA, and Thunderbird wasn't as responsive as it had been with that screen reader. I discovered that Outlook worked a lot better with NVDA.

This past winter, I switched to JAWS. Since then, I've had difficulty, in Outlook, navigating to links, headings, etc. in a message. Sometimes, when I click on a link, it jumps to the subject field. In the daily summary messages I receive from my lists at groups.io such as this one, when I click on a link to a topic that interests me, it takes me to a different message from the one I wanted.

For those of you using JAWS with Thunderbird, how well does it work? Do you have difficulties similar to what I described above? I'd appreciate any input. Thank you in advance.

If you want an economical and longer lasting printer, get a laser, leave the inkjets at the store.

Hi all,
I'm possibly looking for a new All-in-One printer. I see Heartland Of America has an HP 5055 that is a thermal All-in-One printer. Does anyone know whether a thermal printer is as good or better than ink-jet; and how about the cost of operation and maintenance? I already have two HP All-in-One ink-jet printers, neither of which worked very long. I'd like to find one that lasts a bit longer. Any ideas?
Thanks.

A clone is essentially a bit for bit copy of your drive, 100% identical hence the name clone very similar to you taking a cutting of a plant which genetically is going to be identical to the mother.

A backup can be automated (so can imaging software's as well), but generally is manually copied over whatever specifics the user desires to be backed up. A backup is a copy or more of the same thing.

These both have similarities, but think of a clone as you taking a snapshot of you getting yourself all made up and then you go and get pictures taken of yourself all made up. Now in this fantasy metaphor example, if desired, you can restore yourself to look exactly like the pictures taken back when you were all made up to be literally identical to the snapshots where you put forth whatever efforts to look whichever way you selectively chose to look.

So having such an image/clone just in case something happens to your system, you could take this image and do what is called restore the image. This means that bit for bit, it's going to be identical to the snapshot as whenever it was taken.

A backup, is copies of whatever you selectively chose to backup. So if something was for whatever reasons no longer made to work (audio file, movie, video you have created etc.), you could just copy over the additional copy that you backed up and overwrite it which would make that piece of data work once again.

Re: Can't Copy From Drop Box

Hey Gene,

First of all, thanks as always. However, this problem is different. I can actually open the folder from Drop Box. However, when I have highlighted the file or folder in question and paste, I get a message that the copying process has been interrupted.  As I said, this started happening yesterday.

Thanks.

Go to Drop Box in the system tray.  I don’t think that  you can do this in the System tray dialog your screen-reader offers.
Open the Drop box icon with the space bar or enter.  They both may work or try each.
Up arrow to preferences.  Up arrowing is much faster.
Tab until you get to open folders in.  If it says desktop Dropbox application or something similar, up arrow to file explorer.
Tab to and activate the ok button.  That will cause the old display where you can copy and paste to be used.

consequence.

Thanks for any ideas.
