Re: need help uninstalling a program

Hi Gene,

I was thinking the same thing, it's not causing any problems so I figured if the advice I was given didn't seem like a good idea I'd just give up. Somebody not on the list even told me to just delete everything associated with the program by removing the folders but I was afraid that that might mess up the registry so I didn't do it.

Hi all,

I have a program that I want to uninstall from my computer, it's the
multiextra program I was asking about recently, but when I try to
install it I get this error message:
Windows cannot find 'c:\ProgramData\MultiExtra\unins000.exe'. Make sure
you typed the name correctly and then try again. It then gives me an
okay button but when I hit that the dialogue closes. Is there a
different way to uninstall this?

Thanks.

Troy

Hit your Windows key and simply type add remove and what should pop up is Add or Remove Programs, hit Enter.

Now select whichever software it is that you are interested in removing, and use your spacebar and Tab down to uninstall (not sure of how many times, but I am quite sure that you will be able to figure it out from here).

Re: 50% sale on Roboform Everywhere

Hi Sharon,

Roboform alone is free to use, but Roboform Everywhere is available only through subscription. Everywhere is used to sync your Roboform data between devices. But if that’s not a feature you want or need, then use Roboform for free. Nag screens will pop up every now and then, though, asking you to subscribe to Roboform Everywhere. Since I have 2 desktops, 2 laptops, a mini PC and an Android phone, $35 for 3 years of Everywhere was a real bargain, IMHO.

HTH,

Are subscriptions the only way to buy it?  I wouldn't mind buying it outright, but don't care as much for subscriptions.

talking win pe virtual machine vmware player

Marvin Hunkin

Hi. Downloaded the 64 bit version of the windows 10 talking pe. Now got vm ware player latest version, and now when I then do control g, and did copy the talking winpe .exe into the folder where the virtual machine is. So, why am I not getting speech, when play the virtual machine. Got 2 processors, 2 gb ram, a 60 gb hard disk. Plenty of hard drive space. So what happens in the folder, try to run the setup.exe in the virtual machine folder in file explorer. Will theat install to the virtual machine.

Very odd. Was waiting for 10 minutes or more, no speech. Etc.

Thanks.

Re: needing info on a program

I'm not sure what accounts for your experience. I wouldn't think location or prior search history would matter in this case. But when I did the search, the first result didn't say the name of what I was looking for . It said Nathan Tech's software page! - Nathan Tech When I looked down to see an excerpt of what is on the page, I saw this After the page address:
Grab your copy today: Installable: Luna RSS v3.4 setup.exe

Then there was a little more information that didn't matter. Do you check the excerpts of what is on pages if you aren't sure? Some of the time, you may know if you found what you want without doing so. Sometimes, you don't know or you can't be sure.

Thank you. I usually have no trouble researching things and finding the info
I need and more, but for some reason this one wasn't showing what I needed.
I typed in exactly what you did, in fact I did that first, and didn't get
the result that showed up for you, using two browsers.

Do you think that a person's location or even the time of day a search is
done makes a difference?

This is a good illustration of how to tailor a search. I did a search for just what was written and got no relevant results. So I took out everything but Luna RSS and searched for that. the rest were numbers and version information for a specific version. I immediately found relevant results, including this one:

Experimenting with searches will help those who are not very good at it improve.

Can anyone tell me more about this program and how it is used?

Thanks.
