It's standard operating procedure, and always has been, to my knowledge. If it was introduced then the introduction was more years ago than I can remember. I haven't played the vast majority of media files in my browser for years because I generally just save them so I can use the media player of my choosing. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 2004, Build 19041 Always remember that computers are just glorified light bulbs - they rarely fail in continuous use and usually go pop when turned off and on. ~ Technician with the username Computer Bloke, on Technibble.com

Hi Heather,
I found the information below at this
URL.
Quick easy answer: Install AutoplayStopper as an extension. More complicated detailed answer: Brave’s Autoplay behavior is dictated by
Chromium. Mid/late summer 2019, Chromium eliminated a previously-available
flag
that users could edit to control autoplay policy. Absent that editable flag, our only recourse is to install a 3rd-party extension. The good news: my experience with AutoplayStopper and reports I’ve read are generally favorable. Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. Go dodgers!

If it plays, you will likely find a pause button if you go to the top of the screen, then press the letter b until you hear pause. If you are listening for that one word, I hope your hearing difficulties won't stop you from hearing it. Press the space bar on the button, which will stop the audio.

the button may say more than one word like pause audio. Gene

You can but I don't know if it works as often as the method I gave. Someone with more technical knowledge may know. Sometimes a link redirects you to the file, which then plays. In that case, I wonder if control s will work and save target as or save link as won't. If you try the context method and it doesn't work, try my method to see if it does.

Re: brave and media

Also, and it doesn't matter the browser, if you have focus on a media link and the intent is to save the content, not play it, just bring up the context menu and do so.
The verbiage varies slightly depending on the browser, but it's usually something along the lines of "Save link as." Once that's activated the Save dialog appears letting you navigate to where you want the file saved and with the Save button for actually saving it.

Re: Voice DREAM Reader and Kindle Books?
David Goldfield <david.goldfield@...>
I use Codex to decrypt Kindle content which I then import into Voice Dream Reader. I prefer VDR's voices to those of iOS and VDR also offers a smoother reading experience over the Kindle app, which does a small but noticeable pause with each page turn.

other wise, it can't read Kindle books in the default format since you can't even import your encrypted Kindle content to Voice dream reader. Thank you, bharat.

Re: Revisiting the Keurig single cup coffee maker
heather albright
Yes, the coffee pod holder pops out and you can insert a reusable coffee pod. You need to know which type of machine you are using some do not take reusable coffee pods or require a specific type of reusable pod. Also make sure you get a good brand of reusable pod otherwise they can cause spillage in the machine. Sometimes when you buy the machine, they may already have a reusable coffee pod for regular coffee grounds but, if they do not, you can look on the box to see what types the machine uses. Also, If the reusable coffee pod is installed can the standard coffee pods still be used? Thanks for any and all info on this.
