Leo,

I recommend you contact Fs themselves in this regard. Please write
across to their training department for this:

training@vispero.com

Personally i believe, you only need to modify one file which is the
script source file which when compiled generates all the other files.
You may translate all the messages given in the JSS file & test it on
your computer before you pass them on & that should do the trick.

Translating Jaws scripts from one language into another

Hello everyone,

I’m thinking of translating some useful jaws scripts into Spanish, at least, that is what I would like to do; however, I don’t have any experience either scripting or programming, so I’m on the lookout for information about how to translate and test the scripts  post translation process. On the web, I have found valuable information written by the jaw’s scripter Doug Lee, and even when those guidelines have been described in  minute detail, I still don’t   know which program I should use to modify the messages and announcements  that jaws would verbalize, taking into consideration that files with different extensions must be modified for the changes to be effective.

 

So, I would really appreciate if someone can provide more information or indicate a website I which I can find further information.

I personally much prefer thunderbird although accessibility has little
to do with that preference.

A tip. Don't dismiss narator out of hand, especially during setup. It
has gotten dramatic improvements from the joke it used to be on win7. I
personally feel there is very little reason to buy jaws anymore with
nvda having gotten as good as it is and narator being more than good
enough as a backup option.

The keyboard shortcut to toggle narator is control windows enter.

Here is one way to send a message privately in Thunderbird.

Open the message. Tab once. Shift tab perhaps six or seven times. You will get to a field that says from, then you hear the address and then submenu is spoken.
Open the context menu, down arrow to compose message to. Press enter and a message will open addressed to the [person who sent the message.
Some people may say you can simply be on the message in the message list, open the context menu, find the reply to sender and press enter. This is not reliable. it may work on some lists, depending on how they are set up, but it won't work on a lot of them. I gave a reliable method. Replying on line won't help those who are bounced because they won't see the message. If you are bounced, you can send mail to lists but you won't receive any. Those who want to help should write privately to those who appear to be bounced from what they write. If people need to know how to do that, we can discuss it here. it depends on your e-mail program but this is an important thing to know.

I’m interested in this app because I’m hosting a Christmas party for my blindness organisation and I’d like to have something different. I plan to stream audio described movies in one breakout room, play Christmas music in another and I would love to share audio described Christmas scenes in another.

If anyone has suggestions on how I can make the party inclusive or know of another app or site that may have similar info I’d be really happy for the share.

This article specifically says it describes displays in Madrid. I'm sure it is only in Spanish. And if you don't live in Madrid, you can't use it even if you install it. The article says that it explains displays as you walk on different streets and pass them.

I recently read about the “accessible Christmas” app. It was extremely interesting and I would love to find it. However, I can’t seem to locate a link to download the app. Can anyone help? Also, does anyone know if the app is only in Spanish?

That’s what I expected to see, also, because that’s what I used to see when yahoo would bounce messages.  But when I would enter on the unbounce link, I just saw their website.  I appear to be unbounced, though, but I don’t know if any of the other messages ever went out.  Pam.

I received the message also. It gave me a link to go to and when I pressed enter for the link, it took me to a page that informed me that my groups.io messages have been unbounced. I wasn’t asked for my password.

Hi Shelly,

I got a bunch of those messages. But if you read any of the emails, a link is given which takes you to a page which shows what you missed. That page told me that I didn’t have a password, which I know was incorrect, but I just went through the process of entering on forgot my password, put in a new password, and things appear to be fine now.

I'm sure that the reason I'm getting so many messages is that I'm on several groups.io groups but do I need to click on the link in every message that I'm getting about bounced messages or will just clicking one of the links solve the problem?
