Hi Kassy:

Yes, the app is still alive in Google's Playstore. There seems to be two
versions: One was rated a 4.2 and yet another was rated a 3.8. I don't
care, both cost the same at $0.99 and it works! Yes, all the NFL teams are
listed, scores are updated in realtime, schedules and game times clearly
identified. You can indeed pick any team of your own choosing and find a
station that will broadcast that team's game from the several list of
stations displayed. Great app, accessible out of the box with no additional
bells and whistles!

Re: Repost: As Concerns Tune In And NFL Football

Olusegun -- Victory Associates LTD, Inc.

Hi Mr. Canazzi:

Sorry I can't comment on TuneIn as I've never played with the app. However,
in my search for an app with which I could listen to NFL radio games on my
phone, I found Pro Football Radio. Upon installation, it was renamed
Football Radio.

When launched, it displays a listing of all the teams, where they are
playing and the game time. Tap once (or twice) on the icon of your
preferred team and it brings up a number of stations to choose from for
purposes of listening to the team's game broadcast. One has to check out
each station listed because not all these stations carry the game. Signals
for some are a hit-&-miss and, in the bottom right hand corner of the
screen, an error is displayed if the station chosen is not playing.

Yesterday, August 14, I was able to listen to the Houston Texan/San
Francisco 49ers on KETX, a station out of Texas! I could not find the
preseason game on any of the listed San Francisco stations. There's an info
button which, when tapped on and launched, gives a disclaimer relating to
the strength of the stations and the blocking of broadcasts by the NFL
because of contractual issues. Sorry, I paraphrased a bit, but you get the
gist!

Otherwise, the app is FULLY ACCESSIBLE. I did find an unlabeled button that
I am trying to sort out, but this unlabeled button DOES NOT prevent one from
being able to use the app. The app lists all schedules and gives scores in
realtime with no lag. I can certainly use this app to keep on the TOES OF
THE DENVER BRONCOS when I am sticking my fingers in some distilled pond
water outside my village without access to a computer.

The app costs $0.99 from the Playstore; there's a college football component
to the app which also costs $0.99 plus or minus sales tax where applicable.
I was in fact able to listen to the Colorado Rockies baseball game in
Philadelphia yesterday on one of a station out of Cheyenne, Wyoming that
also carries the Broncos Games. I couldn't find the flagship station for
both teams, 850 K O A; it's an iHeart radio station!

I installed the app on my Galaxy S5 which is oiled and powered by my Shiny
"crapware" Android OS! If you have an iPhone, you may want to try and find
the app in the Apple store and I hope it works for you as it did for me. If
you don't use either OS, hmm, I'm not so sure anything I have written thus
far makes sense, though others who are similarly situated may be able to
play some pinball with the app. Now I am off to search for an app for the F
A Cup and Premiere League, the REAL, authentic football games played with
the feet!

To use the built-in System Image tool to create an image do the following.

1. Press Windows key+I.

2. Select
"Update And Security"
and press Enter.

3. Select
"Backup"
and press Enter.

4. Tab to
"Go To Backup And Restore (Windows 7)"
and press Enter.

5. Tab to
"Create a system image"
and press Enter.

6. Make sure that the
"On a hard disk"
radio button is selected.

7. In the
"Selected Hard Disk"
combo box, choose the drive on which you want to store the image.

8. Select the
"Next"
button.

9. A list of drives and partitions which you can backup to the image will be displayed.  Your C drive should be checked/selected by default, but if it is not you can press the Spacebar to check it.

10. Select the
"Next"
button.

11. A list showing which drives will be backed up is displayed.  Select the
"Start backup"
button to create the image.

12. When the backup is complete, select the
"Close"
button.

Note that restoring the image will require sighted assistance.  You can also use third-party imaging tools such as Image for Windows
or Drive Snapshot
which are not free .  Active@ Disk Image Lite
is free, but it has not been updated since last year and I have not tested it with the new Anniversary release of Windows 10.  In either case, a third-party imaging utility might allow more flexibility and allow you to restore an image in situations where the Windows built-in System Image tool might not work.  Also, depending on how technically savvy you're feeling, a third-party imaging utility might eventually allow you to restore images without sighted assistance using the WinPE environment.

Subject: [TechTalk] need to create a recovery file on external Drive for my Windows 10 OS

Dear all,

I finished to install the probrams that I need on my Windows 10 OS – after reformatting it because of a lot of troubles and errors on the system.
My question:
Do I have on Windows 10 anniversarry update the option to create a backup and recover file that will go to my external tera Drive?
So I can in future, when I need it, to go to this file on the external drive and run it and it will erase what I have on my C: Drive and put this recovery instead?
I have partition C: and D: – so I need to create the backup and recovery file only for my C: Drive.
I mean something as Ghost.
I don’t have any experience doing it, so please try to help and explain it – so I can do it independently, without any sighted assistance.

Thanks much for your respond.

Well, Marsha, before you buy your iPhone, play with it to your heart's
content at the nearest phone store to you. If you think you can deal with a
touchscreen device, then you're in good stead as others have suggested.
Otherwise, leave it alone and find one with push buttons that might fit the
bill for you. The only caveat is that if iOS is your preferred choice, you
won't ever find an iOS phone with push buttons; Android may come knocking at
your door in this instance.

Yes that occurred to me after the shortcut solution was posted. Unfortunately as I said I do not use this program so I'm not sure what might be causing the problem.

On the problem case, did you try Run as Administrator, with
Shift+F10, on TWBlue? And if you use the User Account Control,
you'll need to give TWBlue permission every time, unless you lowered
the percentage quite a bit.

Last week, when I ran the program for the first time in a good
while, in response to another list member who had a similar problem
to what you're having, for a few times it wouldn't run, but then I
noticed, first, a prompt to Donate Now; and then, a prompt to update
to the latest version. (The program wouldn't run, I guess, until I
dealt with those prompts. Having ddealt with them, all was well with
my TWBlue again.) (I run Chicken Nugget, and like it.)

I wonder if someone can help me.

I have two laptops running Windows 7 64 bit both of which have the
TWBlue twitter client. both have been running it successfully until
yesterday when one of the machines would not run the program at all,
either from the shortcut on the desktop or from the TWBlue.exe file.

I am running Microsoft Security Essentials so wondered whether this
was causing the problem, so temporarily disengaged it, having done a
full scan which said the computer was clean, for what that's worth..
I have tried uninstalling TWBlue completely and re-installing it,
which seems to go fine until I'm asked to run TWBLUE when, as usual
absolutely nothing happens.
If
I click on either the desktop shortcut or the .exe file again
absolutely nothing happensthe

It still works fine on the other machine which is from the same
company running exactly the same system and configuration.

Could it be possibly that MS Security Essentials has thought it
suspect and quarantined it or something, and if so, in case that is
the problem, how do I tell MSSE that it's a ligitimate program?

I tried the windows troubleshooting program which informed me that
TWBlue was incompatible, so I tried running it in compatibility
mode, again still nothing. to be fair, I don't find the
troubleshooter particular intuitive so may well have missed
something. yes I know I could run something like chicken Nuggets but
since TWBlue runs perfectly on my other machine it would be nice to
have it running on both. Btw, the fresh installation was from the
TWBlue website so should be okay.

Then when you've done that, i.e., removed extra characters (including the
trailing space there), open your Windows (or File) Explorer and navigate to
the TWBlue.exe file which is in the list view of the TWBlue folder in the
C:\Programs folder. You'll need to run twblue.exe as Administrator, and
allow it (in the UAC, say yes). There could be a problem with some recent
Windows7 update, or, same in Windows10.

Try going to the TWBlue icon on your desktop and pressing ALT and ENTER to
bring up the icon's properties.

Under the Shortcut tab you'll see the target as:

If there is a character after the quotation mark after .exe, delete the
extra character and press OK

I tell MSSE that it's a ligitimate program?

I tried the windows troubleshooting program which informed me that TWBlue
was incompatible, so I tried running it in compatibility mode, again still
nothing. to be fair, I don't find the troubleshooter particular intuitive
so
may well have missed something. yes I know I could run something like
chicken Nuggets but since TWBlue runs perfectly on my other machine it
would
be nice to have it running on both. Btw, the fresh installation was from
the TWBlue website so should be okay.

thanks for any help.

Re: need to create a recovery file on external Drive for my Windows 10 OS

The 5 S is a very good phone but I am not sure how many IOS updates you can continue with it. And I am pretty sure the price you saw was with a contract with one of the wireless carriers and not an unlocked phone so you might want to keep this in mind.

Hi
I will try this again. Is it worth buying a I-phone which is a 5S?
Thanks for any help you can give me. I would think someone would have an
answer.

The True name of the app is Pro Football Radio and I got it back In 2012 and I am not even sure you can still find it on the app store. There has been no update to the program in forever. However every time I start the app, it automatically updates the station info and if you go to the schedule tab, it also updates so they are supporting the app. It was no t free but I can not remember how much I paid for it. I rarely ever have a problem listening to the games I want. you can pick the team you prefer to get the stations in their area. I have used it primarily for the last three season and been quite happy with it.

Hi Kathy,

What is Pro Radio?

Ron, I used Tune in premium for a couple of months last year, so my answers may not be the same as they would be now. I don't believe you can get any of the archived games but to the best of my memory, you can get pre and post season games. My problem with Tune in was that I did not find the other items included in the premium version to be worth the price of the monthly subscription when I could listen to the games on Pro Radio for free. In addition, I seemed to lose the stream much too often during the games.
Others may have a better experience with Tune In and hopefully someone will add to my limited information.

I received several suggestions that I use Tune In for NFL Football games
but when I asked for some information, I didn't hear back from anyone.
Therefore I am posting this request again.

Hi Group,

With my quandary over the NFL Game Pass site, people have suggested that
I subscribe to Tune In Premium for NFL football. I have a few questions.

1. Do you get all the games both home and away broadcasts every week?

2. Do you get any archives or replays?

3. Do you get preseason or post season games?

Thanks for any information.

Sincerely,

Hi Melissa,

Another option than has been suggested:
1. NVDA, Control, + K, for Keyboard settings.
2. Tab to the, speak command keys, checkbox & uncheck this box.
Take care.

it must be speak command keys.  I didn't know the command, though I knew one must exist.

I went into a lot of detail other than that command because what I've described may save many people problems in future.

Somehow I accidentally hit a key  along with TheNVDA Key and turn the
verbosity down to basic. Basically, I hear every key I hit while I'm hitting
it. If I hit control it will say control, If I hit a number it will say the
number. I can't remember how to toggle it off And I can't seem to come up
with the right phrase to search for The command. Someone please remind me.
I'm having to re-do everything on my computer and this added bit of
annoyance is driving me more crazy then I am already feeling.

Re: Please remind me A bout a command forNVDA

Gene

This message is long but it contains information many people may find useful.
you haven't saved the setting.  If you ever change a setting and want to go back, use the command NVDA key control r.  That is the desktop layout command.  I don't use the laptop layout and don't know it.  That will revert to the saved configuration, the one you were using before.

If you do accidentally change something in NVDA, don't close the program.  By default, in a very poor decision, NVDA automatically saves any settings that have been changed on exit.  Then you will have to find the command and change the setting back.  I turn off save settings on exit.  That avoids accidentally saving settings I have no intention of saving.  To change this setting, open the NVDA menu, NVDA key n.
Down arrow to preferences and press enter.
You are on general so press enter again.
Tab to Save configuration on exit
It's a check box.  Uncheck it with the space bar.  Then press enter.  The dialog closes and the setting has been changed.  But to make it permanent, save it with the command control NVDA c.  Now, if you close and run NVDA, the setting will be used permanently.
It's far better to use the command NVDA key control c to save settings when you intend to.  This allows you to experiment with whatever you want, a different synthesizer, a different punctuation level, changes in browse mode, anything you want to change, and not accidentally save something because you forget and close the program. Or if you shut down the computer or reboot, I believe NVDA would save these changes as well since Windows shuts down programs as it shuts down or reboots.  If you turn off save on exit, as I described above and use the command NVDA control c when you intentionally want to save a setting permanently, you will avoid all these possible problems.

Remember, control NVDA key r if you want to revert to your already saved settings.  Control NVDA key c if you want to save settings you have made.
