to favorites which exist at the time the command is run.

Flip phone questions.
SK22
I am trying to help someone who has a very old flip phone. This Motorola phone will not be able to run on his carrier, AT&T any more because they’re upgrading their towers. He wants to, if possible keep his old phone. I could use any suggestions for him. We’ll probably have to take this off-list.

Re: Simple Bandwidth Monitor
John Y
I use NetWorx by SoftPerfect. It runs in the system tray and has several options for what to display in the tool tip. I have mine showing daily usage. It has an option to ignore LAN traffic, which I don't generally use, but am then aware that my LAN traffic is counted in its results. It has a speed meter function to test speed in real time, but this area is not accessible with NVDA. Also there is a section to set up peak and off peak times for configuring a quota which is not accessible. It should be possible to set a flat rate quota though, and have it show a message. I haven't used this function so can't speak to its accessibility. Other than these areas I've found this app to be useful. I keep it running most of the time to have a sense of how much bandwidth I'm using. I have mine configured to display current transfer speeds when clicking (pressing space bar on the keyboard) on the notification icon. I find this handy to check how much bandwidth is being used for instance when using iTunes wifi sync, downloading a file, or uploading to Dropbox or an online backup. It does require mouse navigation or shortcut keys to access the toolbar buttons in the usage report, but does break it down by day, week or month. Its home page is https://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/

Re: favorites again
Carlos
I suppose as a temporary workaround, the commands
could be added to a batch script on the desktop. Then you could
just click the batch script instead of having to repeatedly open a command
prompt and manually type the commands. I can think of a couple of ways
this could be done automatically using third-party software every time a
new favorite is added, but it probably wouldn't be intuitive to set up for most
users. Hopefully Microsoft will fix this soon in a
future update.

favorites again
Kimsan
Hi,
Blaster sent in a resolution that has plagued blind computer users lately lol. It’s appreciated, as always; however, here is my question.
I just added another favorite, and when I went to launch it, it gave me that save dialog again, similar to the previous incident before blasters solution. My other favorites I have there launch as expected, but the two new ones I added, that dreaded dialog pops up. Will I need to do that thing again, that blaster sent?

Re: E-Bay.
Carlos
To buy you just have to create an account, place a
bid or select the
"Buy It Now"
option if available, and then pay using PayPal
or your credit card. I can't say much about selling since I have never
attempted to sell anything.

Does anyone know how to get on E-Bay, like to buy something.
Also, do you know how to get on it to sell something? Thanks.

For example you could put a beeper in the tennis and volleyball. The goal of those games is to keep the ball from hititng the ground, if I remember rightly. So if the ball is beeping as it flies through the air, the blind person (assuming they don't have screwy ears like me) can track it and serve it back. I used to have a basket ball with bels in it that I could track as it rolled. Why not an idea like this? The beep might be a little annoying, but I think it would still be great fun. What do yall think.

Re: accessing comcast router

From the command prompt, type the
following.
ipconfig /all>C:\ipconfig.txt
The file
ipconfig.txt
will be created in the root of your C drive.
Now type
exit
to close the command prompt. Find the file
ipconfig.txt
in Explorer, open the file in Notepad, and look
for a line that says
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection
now arrow down a few times until you find the line
that says
Default Gateway
The number on this line is the IP address you
should use to access the router interface in your browser. For example,

audio description for the TV show switched at birth
Sam Nelson <nelsonsam68@...>
Hi everyone, IHope tis is ok to post as it’s about accessibility for tv. I posted a petition on this a couple weeks ago but wanted to post something more in depth. I you don’t know myself and another blind advocate Robert Kingett, run the accessible digital media project. We’ve worked with netflicks and hulu around pushing for audio described content. Our latest project is trying to obtain audio description for the showitched at birth. With half it’s communication in AS it’s not very accessible to a blind viewer even with the subtitles spoen wh a screen reader on netflocks. However I feel it’s a very important show to have described. As it caopen up a dialogue between blind and deaf people, and about the representation of disability in the media in general. Which I’ve heard SAB has done a great job with. We’ve actuay contacted se audio describers who are on the project, created a demo andther things we jus don’t knowwo they should submit it too. We’re after it being available on netflicks so not sure if we should connect with netflicks or the network itself. HVen’t had very much luck with the network but are keeping at it. So if you have a moment please read this post and let us know your thoughts. If you can be of support wqe’d be very grateful https://netflixproject.wordpress.com/2016/06/14/why-we-want-audio-description-on-switched-at-birth/
