Thanks Matt.  It was definitely a case of disagreement and not rule breaking.

Well, it was the other list lost not yours. I just hate it that you cannot have a civilize disagreement without some list owner or Mod throwing you off the list because you just don’t agree with him or her! Now saying disagreement not rule breaking. Even rule breaking should be given at least one more chance if at all human possible. JMO! Good luck with this list it looks like it is booming !

Hi Walt,

Perhaps you were subscribed to a list with a similar name.  I believe I may have seen a list with a similar name on groups.io, but only after I had already created this one.  Although now I can't seem to find it in the listing.  Do you happen to remember who was running that other list?  I created this one because I had a disagreement with the owner/moderator of BlindTech and was banned.  The list was quiet at first, but we have since gained quite a few members.

I'm confused -- prior to receiving the invitation to join this list, I was already subscribed to an IO.Groups list with the same name, but with very little traffic. Next thing I knew, Carlos was moderating this list and it had become extremely active. Can someone please explain the background of this list before the events of this past weekend? Like how could I receive an invitation to join a list to which I was already subscribed?

My iOS devices seem to be dying very rapidly, therefore, I was going to
install iOS 9, as soon as it was released, so I could get better battery

I plan to read applevis.com before updating, just to see what others say. I

Hi, I like doing it thru iTunes as you don't lose speech. Also I
would wait about a week or so before I installed it. As in case it
has VO bugs that you just cannot live with. Let some of the real
techy people adopt it first and find out all the bad and good and then
decide if it is ok to download. JMT!

I'm wondering how I should install iOS 9 when it's released in 15 days?
Should I install it over the air, or via iTunes on my mac? Should I

Thanks for any tips you can provide,

It's always seemed to me that doing the restore type update, meaning to basically do it clean, seems to end up with things being snappier. You'd then have to make sure that everything was backed up though. I can't really list all the differences from using Itunes verses OTA to update your device, I just know that from what I've herd, it can make a few differences if you ever decide to jailbreak it. Using OTA is certainly much easier though, in my experience.

I had the IOS beta on my phone, and there are features I think people might
want. They've done things with the notes folder, and you can get news
without having to get another app if you want. They've also made changes for
the way we select text, which I think is helpful. There are other things,
but those are what comes to mind first.

Hi
I'm told that ios 9, &  the new version of OS 10, will include bug fixes.
Yes, there will be new features, but the main focus here will be bug fixes.

List members, I can't access Bard, and I'm getting a different Error
code every single time I try to access the main page. I'm told to email
Michael Martys, and I do. But why? It should have been up, and I was
using the latest Firefox browser, Windows 10, etc. What is going on!
Also, I won't be shopping for books much longer, and my SD card on my
cell phone is dismounted and won't mount properly, so Best Buy is my
best bet. But yeah seriously, today has not been a clean tech day. I
can't get through but one measly day without technology error coding
itself, dismounting, breaking, or otherwise causing problems with access
to information. Phew!
Anyone seen Bard go down today at all? When will it be back up? If not
now, when?
Beth

Re: .Opinions wanted: Should I install the upcoming updates?

Hi,
I'm wondering how I should install iOS 9 when it's released in 15 days? Should I install it over the air, or via iTunes on my mac? Should I restore my iPhone prior to installation or should I install it overtop of iOS 8.4.1?
Thanks for any tips you can provide,
Jessica

When I was using the Beta, the last update of nine was stable. I'm back to eight now because I had an issue with my phone unrelated to the nine BETA As with any release, there could be a few bugs, but I think there may be fewer since people have had the opportunity to test drive nine.

Hi,
I would like opinions on whether or not to install the updates from Apple, when they are released in a few weeks?

Is the current beta stable
Thanks,
Jessica

It was up yesterday morning, something sent it crashing with a bang, grins, but it will be back.

Whatever the BARD techies did over the weekend really must have screwed
things up big time, because they are taking a long time to get things back
to normal.

Yes, they will; it’s happened before and will happen again. As you said, things like this are bound to happen.

Hi there!
Just talked to the library of Michigan and they are aware of this and have someone working onit.  You know when you are talking about a huge network things do happen and things also need to be updated as well as maintained.  Just hang in there and they will have this problem resolved soon.  BTW I personally have know connection to the NLS aside from being a satisfied  BARD user.
HAVE A GREAT DAY! de

I love my kitty. She's seven or eight; we aren't sure. She was a rescue cat, and they thought she was four or five three years ago when I got her.

Hi, I'm Monica Jones. I was on the Blindtech list and thought I'd try this one. I'm from Murfreesboro, TN, near Nashville. I have a cat named Camille. If I can help y'all in any way, give me a holler. Stay cool and have a great day..
