Kim, I have the same problem of working yesterday but not today, which is
reading pane instead of navigation pane in word documents -- bummer.

When I ran a search, it took me to the Internet and to Microsoft David Voice
Download. I don't know anything about it so exited out of Internet Explorer.

The search doesn't work as it should. I was looking for something else a
day or two ago and typing a word that should have yielded results didn't.
it appears that if a search doesn't find something, you have to actually
look through the settings to see what you find.

I'm raising this for discussion. This is something that I think deserves
serious consideration for the development of the list.

It may be that there should be two lists, one mainly for discussion of
technical problems and another for more general discussion. I think many
potential list members may leave the list or not join if the list becomes
known as a chat and tech list. This list is so much turning into a chat
list that it may not be properly characterized as a tech list. This isn't a
question of whether some members like chat. It's a question of what kind of
list this should be and that a large number of busy people may not join. I
would think that having a chat list where topics started on this list can be
moved would make this list significantly more attractive and useful for many
people who would not join or remain on this list if it is mostly a chat list
with some tech discussion. That is what this list appears to be turning
into. .

Carlos,

I guess that you should do whatever you see feasible maybe you should separate business from pleasure or as Jean put it chat from tech support because it is definitely a very good list and you are doing a great job but I like yourself don’t want the list to lose any members and like I said before I will follow anywhere you go because I think that you and a few others are the greatest at what you do. I support whatever decision you make 100% because I know whatever you decide to do it will be in the best interest of the list and the members. Good luck with your decision making.

Hi all,
Considering that there have been at least, 3 people asking how to do this, I will provide an overview. Basically, you need to write:
j u a r a s j u a r a s j u a s t j u a s t. You can write it many many times, but this is enough. Before this, though, put something like an e. And after that, put something like hello. That's all that there's to it. I personally never copy and paste, I always write it out myself. If anyone is interested, please, drop me a note, and I can teach you within about 4 emails. Oh, within the tag itself, there is no space. I just put them there, so that you know what to type there.
Hope this helps, and hope noone's offended with the overview. :)

Here is something that might help with these
errors that I got from another list.

as of this writing at 9:25 PM EST on Monday,
August 31 2015 Bard is completely down.a a Let
me give you guys a good website to use if you
ever wonder if your provider is at fault, or if it's bard actually down.

please always use:

You can type the address of a website into the
box on the web page, and it will tell you if the website is down.

For example, when I typed

into the edit box, I got the following message.

it's not just you!

looks down from here.

So, do yourselves a favor and bookmark

<http://isup.me>http://isup.me, and use it next
time you can't access bard.a You'll get a pretty clear answer right away.

Gene I use Jaws and am pretty familiar with the quick settings. I also use WLM in HTML mode and I can find nothing about block quote in the settings?

When you are in a message body, open quick settings with JAWS key v.  Look down the settings, and change what you want to change.  When you find something you want to change, such as block quotes, use the space bar to move through the available settings.  You may repeat the settings as often as you want by continuing to press the space bar.  Once you have changed whatever settings you want to change for as many items as you wish, press enter to save the changes and return you to the program window you were previously in.

Your home computer may not be indicating bloc quotes because you are not reading mail as html at home.  On your friends computer, messages are being read as html and you are in the virtual pc cursor.

I have a second Jaws question.  On the computer I'm using Jaws is saying block quote, and the person who helped me set mine up on my own computers set it to not say this.  I thought it might be in graphics or attributes but not having luck getting rid of it.  I hope someone can help.

One of my girl friends told me today that another of our friends has 7,000
e-mails, says that her computer has gotten "kind of slow." Wonder why?

She gets a lot of stuff from charities and from health sites.

in emails. I have actually sent 3000 in 14 days, once.

all these e-mails is teaching me to process faster.

eliminate - e-mail overload - could be Blind Tech. I haven't been to check
it for a day or so, so I'll see how relevant it is to my situation.

Lol, TechTalk is my 11th list, granted at least 3 of them are nearly
inactive ... it gets a bit hectic toward the end of the week and over the
weekend when I'm out trying to earn a nickel and don't have time to wade
through all those emails ...

I can certainly see Flor's point and it is really up to the individual to
decide to how many lists they are subscribed and if it is too much. LOL see
my previous comments about not personally subscribing to many lists at once.

Hi Flor,
All these things are a personal preference. It can be looked how you
mean. But those of us who are going through hundreds and hundreds of
messages, with an email client that supports no filters, this can be
tedious. I just deal with it, though, I know how life could be easier.
But then again, why do I subscribe, if I can't do it? So yeah, its really
a personal preference, in my opinion.

Rajmund,
What myou may consider unnecessary, may be considered needful by the
poster who believes that they are in urgent need of help, or where the
problem being written about is a difficult one to solve unless or until one
has sought differing perspectives on how it might be solved.
(Think of how it was with a kernel32 error preventing a program from
running Easy enough to fix when you know the answer to it which fits tyour
symtpoms precisely.
But
if you don't know, you can't run this program on which your happiness with
your computer depends. .) And you may nopt be able to describe the

Hi Joseph,
My nightmare is to delete the exact same thing 6 damn times.
And,
when the person sends something in response, they send it to like 3 lists.
So that makes it 8 more messages, than necessary.

Hi,
For me, the worst nightmare is when someone cross-posts the same message
to multiple lists (I did ask people on the lists I moderate to not
cross-post, or if they have to do that, either use BCC or ask the mods
first).
Cheers,
Joseph

Hi,

Here's the thing. If I send something to this list, and the BlindTech
list, but I only put one list into the to field at the time, there's
literally literally nothing the admins can do. If there are more than one
lists at the time, that's different.

Although I am still subscribed, I got very frustrated with the moderation
and sometimes the lack thereof. I very much dislike the fact that there
are more and more persons on Blindtech who are cross posting all over the
place.
It is not unusual to see the same message no fewer than five or six times
on various lists. And I hope that those cross posts do not show up here.
This
prompts a question. Is there a utility which will somehow delete cross
posted messages? Setting up filters to do this would be a huge
undertaking.

Hi Carlos, I would join the sub-group if one existed. I think this list should remain as a tech list.

I'm raising this for discussion.  This is something that I think deserves serious consideration for the development of the list.

It may be that there should be two lists, one mainly for discussion of technical problems and another for more general discussion.  I think many potential list members may leave the list or not join if the list becomes known as a chat and tech list.  This list is so much turning into a chat list that it may not be properly characterized as a tech list.  This isn't a question of whether some members like chat.  It's a question of what kind of list this should be and that a large number of busy people may not join.  I would think that having a chat list where topics started on this list can be moved would make this list significantly more attractive and useful for many people who would not join or remain on this list if it is mostly a chat list with some tech discussion.  That is what this list appears to be turning into.  .

Here is something that might help with these
errors that I got from another list.

as of this writing at 9:25 PM EST on Monday,
August 31 2015 Bard is completely down. Let
me give you guys a good website to use if you
ever wonder if your provider is at fault, or if it's bard actually down.

please always use:

You can type the address of a website into the
box on the web page, and it will tell you if the website is down.

For example, when I typed

into the edit box, I got the following message.

it's not just you!

looks down from here.

So, do yourselves a favor and bookmark

<http://isup.me>http://isup.me, and use it next
time you can't access bard. You'll get a pretty clear answer right away.
