Subject: [TechTalk] need google help

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a journey into using Google products. I had a gmail account but I never checked it. So, it lapsed. Then, I got a new account which I use for my Android phone. I can't seem to access the gmail account because it keeps wanting me to sign into the old account. I can't get rid of it, I can't find a 'use another account' link or button or anything. I'm having the worst time, and I really need to get this fixed. Can anyone help please? Does Google have an 800 number? Do they have a chat line or anything so I can talk to somebody?

Re: The Blaze ET, do you like it?

The going price for a second-hand Blaze ET seems to be between $300 to
$400. I've seen people try to sell them for $400 and end up lowering
their price closer to $300 for it to sell.

Good luck!

Hi,
So does the battery not hold a charge?
I've always wanted a blaze, but I could never afford one.
Then again the way I spend money it's no wonder I can't lol.
Anyways, that is correct.
The blaze has built-in wifi so you can download books straight to the device itself or an sd card.
It's also got Internet Radio, which I think is pretty cool.

the battery in mine so I could check it out.

Re: list and comparrison of different amazon speakers

John Dowling <1008jmd@...>

Hi,
This isn't a list, but I think if it's streaming you want, you should go with the fire stick.
it's able to stream audio from Amazon music, just like an echo, and it can also stream video content from Prime Video, NetFlix, Hulu and youtube among others.
HTH,
John.

Re: list and comparrison of different amazon speakers

if you are looking for good quality sound and high definition I would recommend the fire stick HD with Alexa remote. This will give you a good picture. The sound will come out of your TV so as long as you have a good sounding TV that should work. Other devices will not be able to stream the picture from your TV.
Hope this helps,

popovers

Monte Single

Greetings Social Distancers and Dancers.

On this pc I’m using win7 with chrome and nvda.  All are current versions I think.

Recently,  in the las  couple weeks,  when I go to the audible website, and arrow down through the titles my search have generated,  I hear nvda say “popover” when I land on a title.

Anyone know what popovers are?

How do you interact with them?

Thanks,  for keeping your distance, and for being so near.

Deleting Dropbox folders No Longer In Use

Ron Canazzi

Hi Group,

Someone wanted to know about how to delete Drop Box folders that are no longer in use.  I must have deleted the original post, so I am sending this to a number of lists.

When I deleted the shared folder on my system--the path is c:\users\<computer name>\dropgox, after a few minutes, they disappear on the website when you log into your account using the browser.

Some people have indicated that this is not the case.  On my system, this is what happens.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a way to install a theme or template in a WordPress free plan?

When I try to install a theme for my blog, a message pops up prompting me to upgrade my plan from a free plan to a business plan. Is there a way to skip over this step?

If not, does anyone know about other hosting websites for personal blogs in which I don’t have to pay anything, and where I can install themes or templates that I have on my computer?

Re: Seeking help with iTunes and either NVDA or Narrator?

Try using the JAWS bypass command JAWS key 3 on the main keyboard, execute the command, then do what is next.  The bypass command, as you likely know, allows the next command to bypass JAWS and go directly to the application.

Subject: [TechTalk] Seeking help with iTunes and either NVDA or Narrator?

Hi List, I am having trouble rearranging the order of songs in various iTunes 12.8.0150 playlists.  None of the latter versions of Jaws, 2018 through 2020, will let me select and move a song to a different place in my list.

When Jaws is not running, the commands of: Shift plus Down Arrow will select and then Control plus C for Copy or Control X for Cut do work.

However, when I do the exact same commands with my Jaws running, they do not work.

Therefore, I would very much like to be able to talk to someone while I am actually trying to do these actions with either NVDA or Narrator.

I have read up a bit on them and have tried to make this work but have not yet had any success.

If you are able and willing to help, please email me privately at: vrvaughan63@... and we could exchange phone numbers off list.  I don’t think this will take much of your time, but since my task, after I can once again work independently with these songs, will take quite a bit of time, I cannot get sighted assistance with it.

Thank you very much for any help!

Sincerely, Vicky V
