Copy and paste works in Outlook in later versions and it probably will there.

Copy the file, as though you were going to paste it in another location.
Open the message.  I don't know if it matters where you are in the message when you issue the paste command.  Be in the message body.  I expect it to work there because it does in Windows Live Mail.  Paste and the attachment will likely be added to the message, if this procedure works that far back.

Re: Subscribing to Blind Programmers list

Hi all
You did the wrong way of subscribing to that list. Below are the right way
to subscribe, send a blank e-mail to program-l-request@freelists.org with the word subscribe in the subject field
After that, you'll recieve an e-mail telling you something like reply it to confirm your subscription. Just press reply and send it.

Example: program-l+subscribe@freelists.org

I sent another Email, this time with the + and I have yet to get an Error message, but I have yet to get any sort of Message back from this list.

Don't know if a Real Person has to review the request before it goes through, or if my email using the + is Circling the Globe right now, and will continue to do so for the next day or two, when then I'll get an Error telling me this address was undeliverable etc.

3. Any other thoughts?

I have Outlook and have made individual boxes for each group.

You do that by:

1. Highlight group.
2. Press Control+Shift+e, and name the folder.
3. While group is highlighted, press Applications, S.
4. Arrow to the desired folder for the group.

Hi,

I'm in the process of transitioning from a gmail address to an outlook.com address.

As such I have two hopefully quick questions.

I'm new to Outlook.com so just assume ignorance and I won't be offended. So if for instance I take the step of moving all my blindness related email lists to this address and make rules to filter them all into one folder for such messages if I create this rule either in Outlook the application/program or thunderbird does the rule only take effect locally I.E. on the machine on which it was created or server side so that any device accessing the contents of this email would abide by it? Does that make sense? Similarly is it more advisable to make a rule for each individual email list or can they all be grouped under one rule?

I read a book on outlook the app/program before asking this question and was thus far unable to obtain the answer thus I ask to learn.

Thanks in advance.

Robin

I'll do what you're suggesting; but my understanding is that in all that daisy stuff, there is a file, one file, that will just open as a text file. Then your book is no longer a folder, if you extract that file; it's just a file, like the other 7000 books I have gotten over the years from bookshare.

But I really prefer to have them under my hands at times. Is there a file in those bookshare daisy books that is the plain text of the book? I don't need daisy. I seem to remember that you can go into the daisy folder, find the file and extracting it, put it on your braille device, if you so desire.

But I forget the file I'm supposed to look for. Thanks to anyone who can set me straighter.
