I was born premature also.  I weigh 2 pounds and onces and 14 inches long went down to 1 pound 11 onces.  I had to weigh 5 pounds before I could live the hospital.  I was given 52 percent oxigen in the incabator and the maxium amount not to have damage was 40 percent.  That is what caused my blindness.  It is called rlf/rop.  I was born on 57-1964.  I atended the Michigan school for the blindfrom 1969 to 1985.  When I started there I was 5 years old and my home was 200 miles from the school in Lansing, Michigan.  I lived at school I went home every other weekend and for vacations.  The campus covered a 4 city block area.

Re: installing juice podcatcher, message saying another instance is there when it's not

You may have installed and uninstalled it in the past.  Uninstallation programs run by Programs and features usually leave registry entries when programs are uninstalled.  You may have to find and remove one or more registry entries.  I haven't worked enough with the registry to tell you what to look for or what is safe to remove.

I have looked all over the computer and there is no instance of Juice podcatcher anywhere. But when I try installing it it gets to install and says there's another instance running. There isn't: not in program files or processes or programs or anywhere. I know I'll have to use compatibility wizard with it if I can ever get it installed since I'm using windows 7. Has anyone encountered this annoyance, or is there perhaps another podcatcher that is accessible with Jaws?

Thanks.

Yes he did. I purchased the tutorial when I first started using zoom. It was a great help. It’s a bit dated now as zoom has changed a bit but it’s still a great resource.

I don't know what screen reader you are using but if it's JAWS you should know that JAWS 2020 contains some additional Zoom scripts from Brian Hartgen which should become active once you've opened Zoom. Pressing insert-H will bring up a list of some additional hotkeys which he has added. For around $45 you can purchase his Zoom Professional scripts which adds even more functionality. If you're a JAWS user and are planning to use Zoom on a regular basis you may find that his scripts are worth purchasing. The above link will give you more information as to what you'll receive with both the free as well as the pro versions of his scripts.

Jonathan Mosen has also written a book titled Meet Me Accessibly, which is a guide on using Zoom.

Here is a list of Zoom hotkeys. Zoom also allows you to change these default hotkeys to keys of your choosing. You can also assign a hotkey as a global keystroke, meaning that it will work even when you're not in the Zoom window. As an example, alt-A is the default hotkey to mute or unmute your microphone. You might want to make this a global keystroke, meaning that you can use this key from any other program window to perform this function.

Re: WATERFOX CLASSIC?

Mike B.

Howdy Admiral,

Take a look at the steps below for navigating Waterfox:

From: Mike B
Okay, give this a try:
1. With Waterfox open press, Alt + T, for Tools & press the letter, O, for Options.
2. Tab 1 time and press, Insert + Z, to turn the virtual cursor off.  You now should be on the, General tab.  Every time you down arrow to another tab
the virtual cursor will turn itself on, so down arrow and press, Insert + Z, to turn the virtual cursor off, but if you want to tab through any particular
tab leave the virtual cursor on to make any changes to your settings.
3. So, in short, turn the virtual cursor off to navigate between tabs and leave the virtual cursor turned on to navigate within the tabs to make settings
changes.  All the settings are either checkboxes or comboboxes.
Another tip I got from dave Durber:
1. While in Waterfox open the Settings Center with, Insert + 6, on the number row or press, Insert + F2, to open the Jaws manger, then press the letter,
S, until you get to, Settings Center, and press enter.

2. Now navigate to the, Miscellaneous folder, number 24 of 25, and not the Miscellaneous sub-folder of Web / HTML / PDFs.  Press the right arrow to expand
/ open the folder.

3. Navigate to, MSAA mode, and use the spacebar to toggle through Automatic, Enhanced & Classic , options / settings.  For me the, Classic, setting works
best.  Also, in Waterfox if you down arrow a couple of more times to, Use Virtual PC Cursor, checked, , and you uncheck this box you won't to toggle the
Virtual Cursor on & off so much when you're the Tools / Options of Waterfox, but you need to make sure that the virtual cursor is turned on when making
any changes on any of the tabs.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go dodgers!

Re: WATERFOX CLASSIC?

I'm not sure if it is a particularly good idea to use Waterfox.  I read awhile ago, in an article discussing browsers, that these kind of knock-off browsers, this one is based on Firefox code, are often not updated in terms of security patches, as quickly as browsers like Firefox and Chrome.

I haven't read much about this, but those who are deciding which browser to use may want to get information on this question.

Hi all,

I'm running windows 10 version 1809 and thunderbird version 64.4.2 with both a road runner e-mail account and a gmail account set up in thunderbird. Over the past couple of weeks I've been receiving a ton of spam and I'm not sure where it's coming from because I never used to get any at all. It's all going to my spam folder in thunderbird but is there anything I can do to stop it? Btw I can't tell if it's mostly coming from road runner or gmail, but I receive very little actual e-mail from road runner anymore so if I had to guess I'd say it's coming from gmail.
I haven't made any changes that I can think of either, and I've deleted cookies and other such things as that.

Thanks.
