For Outlook.

Yes, you would need to be within your addressbook
(Control+Shift+B) then when the person is selected,
Control+N.

Sorry, that does not work for me.

Please picture yourself pointing at the person to whom you
want to send the email If I just press Control+n at this
point, it then waits for me to type the address in. It does
not put in that address for me.

To me, this is no help at all.

Is there something that I am missing?

In Outlook, you just see stuff about copy, delete, quick
print, some things like that, but nothing to indicate that
you could use that to send to that contact directly from
that point.

Carolyn

You didn't say what program you are using. But as a general
rule, when you are looking for options in a case where you
move to something like a contact or a filename, or a book
mark ore many other things, open the context menu and see
what's there.

If you are on a contact and you open the context menu, you
will probably see an item about sending mail, may be more
than one item. You may see a submenu as an item that says
send message and, when you press enter on the submenu and
look through it, you may well find the item you want.

I went to my Contact List in Outlook - tried Applications;
Shift F10; Alt; Control N, then Applications, Shift F10 and
Alt. None got me to where I could send an email message to
the contact I was on.

In Outlook Express it was easy to send to a contact from the
Contact List, but I have found no way to do it in Outlook.
If someone knows how, it would be good to know.

Best regards,

Carolyn

Okay; I’m late on this.  What contacts list are we talking about here: outlook or windows live mail?  In windows live mail, you press control 3 to get into the list.  Arrow down to the contact you want, press the applications key and arrow down to send email.  Enter on that.  It will say personal, and you hit enter on that.  Pam.
