texting from computer

Kimsan

Hi,

Does anyone know what I use at the end when wanting to text from my computer to a phone carrier such as cricket wireless?

Howdy Kimsan,

Here you go:

• Sending email to a Cricket phone: Your address is [10-digit-phone-number]@sms.mycricket.com. For example, if your phone number is 123-456-7890, your
email address would be 1234567890@....
• If you want to receive multimedia messages (pictures, music and short videos) you use a similar address: 1234567890@... (just change the
“sms” part of the address to “mms”).

Take care.  Mike.  Go Dodgers.
Sent from my iBarstool.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Hi Kimsan,

Here is a list of some of the more popular cellular providers, and some that are not so popular, I am sorry, but Cricket does not seem to be on this list, but maybe you can use some of these as examples. See below.

Michael

Email address for sending text messages to subscribers of the different cell phone carriers

1. If you want to send a text message to someone using A T&T, for example, and their cell phone number is 555-555-5555. You open a new email message and in the " To " field type 5555555555@... You don't put any dashes in the cell number, just the digits.

2. Tab to the subject field and put in a subject line.

3. Tab to the edit field and put in your message. Then send as usual.

They receive the text message and, when they reply, it comes to your inbox.

Here are the email suffixes you add to the cell phone number.

Cricket, if memory serves, still runs off of the AT&T network; Therefore,
the correct way to do this is:

ten-digit-number@txt.att.net

Example: You want to send me a text from your computer? You will type in
the To Field:

3035551212@txt.att.net

All the best.

Sincerely,

Yes, Cricket does run off AT&T.

Best regards,

Carolyn
