Comes from Twitter (from a reliable source) and was subsequently confirmed based on experience:
If you are using JAWS for Windows and if you attempt to use Media Creation Tool (MCT) to upgrade to Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Version 1607/build 14393), you’ll be greeted with a message that says your display is incompatible. After some investigation, it was traced to FS mirror display driver, especially on systems that have upgraded from Windows 7 to 10.
For members of the win10 group and its subgroups (termed group cluster): the following advisory is in effect:
1.Use JAWS 17.0.2619 or later.
2.Do NOT use Media Creation Tool at this time; wait for Version 1607 to show up on Windows Update (I was able to confirm this, as I have managed to upgrade to build 14393 with J17 installed and did it via Windows Update).
If you have questions about this and other issues when upgrading to Anniversary Update, please contact Microsoft Accessibility Help Desk, mention @MSFTEnable or @FreedomSci on Twitter or contact Freedom Scientific (now part of Vision Freedom Optelec (VFO)). Thank you.
