Solution Needed: Subscribing To a Google Group From My Outlook.com Address Subscribes Me Using My Gmail Account

Hi. I'm trying to subscribe to the Viphone discussion group via email, not using the Google Groups Web interface and I'm trying to do this from my primary Outlook.com email address. I open Thunderbird to my Outlook.com address and send the subscription request via email. When I then get added or subscribed I get messages sent to my Gmail account instead of my Outlook.com account. There's clearly a link which has been set up in my Gmail account but I can't seem to locate it in order to unlink my Gmail account from my Outlook account and I'd like to find a way of doing this. What I want is to subscribe to this group using my Outlook.com address and have that same address subscribed to the group.

You need to use the google web site and log in and unsecure your password.

This is really difficult.kl I found the best way is to have Microsoft accessibility do it for you. It involves many steps in outlook to get it finished

Here you go:
In your Gmail account settings, have you enabled the use of less secure apps? If you were to create a new Gmail account today and tried to set the account
up in the Outlook desktop app for instance, it would be blocked until you allowed the use of less secure apps. As for the exact process, here are the steps
if you are using the basic html setting in the online Gmail interface:

1. Log into your Gmail inbox.
Note:  If you use the, Links List keystroke, Insert + F7, to find the links in steps 2,3 and 4 along with first letter navigation it'll make things go
much faster.

2. Press, Insert + F7, to open the links list, press the letter, S, to find  the, settings link and press enter.

3. Press, Insert + F7, to open the links list, press the letter, G, to find  the, Google account link, and press enter.
Make sure it's the, Google Account link and not Gmail account link.

4. Press, Insert + F7, to open the links list, press the letter, S, to find  the, Security link, and press enter.

5. Press, Insert + F7, to open the links list, press the letter, L, to get to the, Less Secure App Access, link.
 6. Now down arrow to find an, On link, to toggle on the use of less secure apps, it could also be a checkbox.
Note:  I'm not sure if there's a save settings button or not, but it wouldn't hurt to look.

Finished.

Take care and stay safe.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go Rams!

This has nothing to do with anything being blocked. See the first message, at the bottom of the thread in this message.

David signs up for an e-mail list using his Microsoft Account address. He gets responses in his GMail account. Therefore, his sign up is being redirected to the account he doesn't want to use. The Google account is functioning as far as allowing him access, as it should.
