I didn't know Carlos except through e-mail exchanges but he was a
wise man in understanding and working with people. It is my
impression, I haven't seen this discussed much, that he mentored and
helped many people over the years.

I still use two programs that he either created or modified to make them more useful, the Winamp time marker utility he created and his version of Virtual Recorder. He may have created or modified many other programs and utilities that I don't know about. I'm pleased when more people learn about and use such work that he did. Oh yes, he was really cool! And he was very helpful to people with computer problems. I still think of him, sometimes. Pam.

I still use his win PE program and it will always be in my
computer tool box for sure.
He and I never spoke, but from communicating with him over the
few years our paths crossed so to speak I found him sharp and very
helpful. It was an honor when he complimented me on my image for
windows tutorials I made quite a long time ago. R I P my friend.

Yes, he, Carlos, was always there to help anyone. I first met him virtually when he was just getting this list started, I think he contacted me off another list. I remember as I was still using xp at the time, woe. Cheers Carlos. Heather

He helped me get start up sound on my Windows 10. Also, he helped me with Message Rules, back when I still had Outlook Express.

Thanks for this Mike. I am one of the people who still misses Carlos and the fantastic job he did with this list. He taught me so much about the general use of my computer and was so knowledgeable and willing to help at all times. I feel lucky to have known him.
I was surprised at the age because I thought he was only in his twenties. Guess the old memory is slipping. LOL! And Thanks, Carlos. Marie From: main@TechTalk.groups.io <main@TechTalk.groups.io>
