vlc player

Troy Burnham

Hi all,

I'm trying to play a dvd using vlc player but all that's playing is the first file, kind of an introductory file. How can I get the rest of the dvd to play? Btw this is a windows 11 laptop so I'm using an external USB cd/dvd drive if that matters.

Thanks.

Troy

To move to the next track the command is the letter n.  To move to the previous track, it is the letter t.

Also, you may not have to use those commands in this case.  The problem may be that you turned loop on.  That command is the letter l.  So the player is looping the track it is playing.  It appears from a little playing around I did that to stop looping, you need to press l twice.  Try that and see if the problem is gone.

Here is a page with a lot of short cut commands for VLC Player.

Hello Troy
I found that when the intro music starts, if I just hit enter again, the show will start, but I've also found that if the dvd has episodes like our MASH dvd's, we only get the first one, and it won't play the rest of the episodes on that dvd. Rather a pain.
