a question regarding Microsoft outlook
DAVID GLOBE
Hello all and thanks for bringing me on the group. I'm a new user to microsoft outlook, and I'm a jaws user. How do I put email addresses directly from the message, in to my addressbook? If there is an address in a message, I'd like to put it rite in to my book. Can this be done with outlook? David

Hello David, Welcome. I use outlook 2016 with Jaws 20 on a windows 10. What I usually do is copy the e mail, Go to control 3)in your number row) Control N for new contact Fill out full name Then shift When you land on company, control M and E Then paste the e mail addy Alt S to save.
Maybe someone else has an easier way but this has always worked for me. Good luck Sugar

another way to add a contact to the contacts in outlook, 1, open outlook, 2, enter on a message which contact information you wish to add. 3, use the keystroke, ctrl+shift+y you will hear something like, copy to dialog, 4, now press the letter "c" until you hear contacts, press enter, now the information will be there, the name, and if you tab you will see the email address. you can add other information, when you are finished, alt+s=save, now, your placed back into the message. The impossible is the untried, Never under estimate the power of a dream.

I am really unclear at this point as to what is being asked for.
It is easy, and the instructions have been given, to do a quick creation of a contact using the From field in an e-mail message. If the address is in the message body, which is how I interpreted, "If there is an address in a message, I'd like to put it right in to my book," Then Sugar's copy and paste method is the only one I know of for doing that. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 2004, Build 19041 Always remember that computers are just glorified light bulbs - they rarely fail in continuous use and usually go pop when turned off and on. ~ Technician with the username Computer Bloke, on Technibble.com
