I've been curious about NVDA for a while now. Do you knowif the portivle version works as well as the version that installs on your computer? And, do you happen to know if installing on a USB 3.0, thumb drive instead of USB 2.0, improves the experience? Thanks for the link. James

The portable version does work just as well.

Running it off of a USB 3 flash drive will certainly reduce the initial startup time, but then like all programs it is loaded into memory so it won't specifically improve overall performance.

You mentioned that you've been curious about NVDA. I moved permanently from JAWS to NVDA years ago. I keep a trial version on JAWS for occasional use. I sincerely think you'll be pleased with NVDA if you check it out. Gary
