reducing the print size

Madison Martin

Hi all,

My dad and I went on a mini holiday last week and I was having trouble connecting my laptop to the hotel’s wifi and in the process of helping me Dad somehow made the print on my screen really big. How can I change it back and also does anyone know what the standard print size is? Using latest versions of Windows 11 and JAWS. Thanks

Madison

Hi Madison.

You can have different print sizes on your screen depending on which app or feature you are using.

Is the large print happening on the desktop, when you are using the internet, using email?

Could you be specific.  The answer willvary depending on the application.

Cheers,

Mont

I’m pretty sure it’s the same with every application

It sounds to me as though the Windows magnifier is on.

This is from a Microsoft article.  there is an accessibility problem with the article.  In places, a character is used that is not a standard space and adjoining words aren't read correctly.  I replaced the nonstandard carachter when it occurs.  See if using these commands solves the problem.

To quickly turn on Magnifier, press the Windows logo key + Plus sign.
To turn off Magnifier, press the Windows logo key + Esc.
