synchronising a partition to a drive over rdp.

hi all.
i will give you all the background info so that i may get more help.
i have a windows server, and a windows 11 desktop.
the desktop connects to the server using microsoft terminal services or mstsc.
the destination drive is connected to the desktop via usb and is also
shared with the server.
what i have to do is, syncronise partition d with the drive connected
to the desktop.
and every week, i must compare the files stored in partition d and if
any files are updated i must update them on the drive on the desktop.
i could do a manual copy paste but its a long process as the data is
over 700gb and some files give a file name to long error when using
copy paste.
what is the easy way of doing this?

Get a software called secondcopy. It will compare file by fileĀ  by schedule.
If you can make both drive or source and destination be seen at the same time, it will be much easier.
Secondcopy will do the rest
