Sorry, I missed part of your question. It can be installed without sight, but the two common methods may not necessarily be intuitive for all users. It can be done with either an unattended script or by using something like my Win7PE images.

went through the AIK, and there were more questions in that thing that I couldn't answer than that I could. XP was cake compared to the Windows 7 AIK. On Sun, 30 Aug 2015 10:26:15 -0400, you wrote:

This is a wonderful resource. You've obviously put some serious time and effort into it. I had no idea, for example, that one had to start with Vista to get some of this stuff done. Of the two ISO editors you mentioned in the documentation for the unattended installation file, UltraISO and PowerISO, which do you prefer? Or, for that matter, eschew? I have installed Windows 7 several times using an unattended script. In fact that is how I installed Windows 7 for the first time. Although these days I prefer to simply use Win7PE so I can have speech available.

I prefer UltraISO, but there are other free tools which can be used to create the image. The unattended file can also be placed on a flash drive with or without the Windows installation files. If the flash drive is made bootable and you know how to boot from a flash drive, you don't have to bother with DVDs at all. Or you can just leave the unattended file on the flash drive by itself. If you boot from an installation DVD, it will search for the file and use it if it can be found.

Levtec's Winstaller is another option where you can do a different take on an unattended install, or get through the first part of the setup process with NVDA in the image. It isn't a free program, so I'd probably be inclined to try with the PE images unless one needed some audio driver or other thing Levtec has that the PE ones don't.

True, my images do include driver packs which cover many, but certainly not all audio devices.

I wonder which solution would work best with boot camping a Mac Book. I thought of buying one of the used ones going around the lists that very well could've sold, as it is a good price. I don't know for sure if I could get the hard drive upgraded beyond 80 gb, and get either Lion or Mountain Lion back on it, since my current one started having its keyboard trouble with Snow Leopard on it, but it could be a good boot camp machine that shouldn't give crackling audio or JFW activation issues on most reboots like a Dell I tried.

I'll certainly second that. Assuming a person is comfortable with using the virtual cursor in jfw, or object navigation in NVDA for a few things, the talking PE is an absolute breeze to use for an installation.

As for levtec, which I'll assume is also based somewhat on the PE project, do to my not being able to ever get consistent and reliable information from Levi through any of our correspondence, I always found it really difficult to justify spending what he was asking for the tool then. I'm thinking I'd come closer to making a donation towards Carlos or anyone else working on a talking PE type project instead. Just my own thoughts though, hehe. On 8/30/2015 10:26 AM, Carlos wrote:
