where is the battery compartment on the Victor reader II?
Troy Burnham
Hi all,
Is the battery compartment on the back of the second edition Victor reader? I need to change my battery and I just need to know where to look. Thanks. Troy |

The battery is on the back of the Stream. About three quarters up, you press down that slotted area, while pulling the battery compartment out from the bottom. I have two readers, one of which has a back connecter site. I have a magnetic in my other, so I switch batteries periodically to keep the malfunctioning machine where it can read, so pretty used to the batteries in the reader.

Also I have some friends who have the stream II and their charging port either doesn't work at all or doesn't work consistently. I got this vrs just when the 2nd gen devices were coming out so the problem probably is with the battery, but is there a way to tell if it could be the port instead before I change the battery?

To see if your stream charging port is still working; ---turn off the stream, ---remove the battery, ---connect the cable to the charging port, ---turn on the stream. If the stream starts p, then you know the charging port is working, because it started without a battery. Cheers, Mont -----Original Message-----

You would know if it is the port, because you can't make the cable connect.

The problem was apparently with the battery as I suspected, I changed the battery earlier this afternoon and it only took a couple of hours of charging for the new battery to be at 100%. It was at 39% when I started and that surprised me since I'm pretty sure that I bought this battery at least a couple of years ago and it hadn't been used.

The old battery actually had started charging a bit more before I changed it, but that battery was probably close to 10 years old so I went ahead and changed it anyway. Troy On 3/28/2023 5:13 PM, Carolyn Arnold wrote:
